♥♥♥♥♥ Oh wow what an intense read, Lili you have seriously done it again.

Heartbreaking, that's what this truly was, tears flowing, what a heart rendering read.

This book is awesome and so intense, really this series is getting better and better.

As you know me by now, I will not give out spoilers but you really have to read this book.
This is definitely a one click book

Now Lili how can you leave me with an ending like that, I need One Road now, honestly I was on the edge of my seat. ♥♥♥♥♥

♦♦♦REVIEW BY EMMA MISTRESS OF ALL DARK & TWISTED♦♦♦

Two roads review ;

This sixth and penultimate part in the Gypsy Brothers series really takes the story to new extremes.
Without any spoilers, and believe me this is a hard job to do, Juliette goes through every emotion imaginable: absolute desperation, loss, joy, bliss and fear.
This episode leaves Dornan behind but he's a constant threat lurking around every corner, infecting every action and thought. His reach and hold has devastating effects. He has ultimately brought four unlikely people together with one connection that binds them: Him, but he had the power to destroy them and his reach knows no bounds.
This book brought me to tears, happiness, anger then ended with absolute shock - I truly would never have seen that ending!!

♦♦♦REVIEW BY NADIA CHIEF OBSESSIVE PIMPETTE ♦♦♦

Juliette is out of the basement but never free from Dornan, he is a constant presence in her mind. She is left scarred, broken and addicted...her worst fear has become reality. She is now her mother's daughter.
Without spoilers this part in the series focuses on the relationship between Jase and his girl. The constant battles they fight with themselves, coming to terms with the past and the consequences of their choices. I cried as I read the brutal after effects of her forced addiction and the on going mental trauma for a young woman that is a victim of one man's madness. Will she ever be happy? Can she ever kill her demons and find peace?
Eagerly waiting the last instalment of this amazing series...with a box of tissues by my side! I fear there will be no happy ending...

Lili writes dark, disturbing romance. Her #1 bestselling Gypsy Brothers series was created in a serial format – quick, intense episodes released frequently with some wicked cliffhangers. The Gypsy Brothers series focuses on a morally bankrupt biker gang and the girl who seeks her vengeance upon them. The Cartel series is a prequel trilogy of full-length novels that explores the beginnings of the club, to be released in 2015 by HarperCollins.
Lili quit corporate life to focus on writing and so far is loving every minute of it. Her other loves in life include her gorgeous husband and beautiful daughter, good coffee, Tarantino movies and spending hours on Pinterest.
She loves to read almost as much as she loves to write.

About Smoldered: Asher Peterson is a self-made man, owner of the Electric Tunnel, Sin City’s hottest adult entertainment spot. Brazen and formidable in designer T-shirts and motorcycle boots, he seems unflappable whether he’s making his rounds through the decadent decor of the Tunnel, or whipping through the desert heat on his bike. But inside he is a shattered man, desperate to understand what unconditional love from a woman feels like. Hiding the effects of his emotionally stunted youth behind a gritty persona, and keeping his fractured soul buried deep while seeking out his baser instincts, Asher is convinced he is man enough to leave the past in the past. The only clue to his broken soul is his deep-seated need to provide safety and a good life for emotionally damaged women within the glamorous walls of his strip club. Fooling himself that he deserves little in life, Asher keeps his big heart tightly guarded with everyone but Sienna Flower, his friend, business partner, and headliner. Until, that is, the night he runs into his childhood friend, Natalie Parker. While trolling a rival strip club, perusing their offerings for his own personal pleasure, he collides with his past. Coming face-to-face with a woman he only knew as a girl, he’s shaken when he finds the dark-haired beauty in a precarious position. Now all grown up, she’s a hardened soul who reminds him of where he came from, and stirs within him the need to protect yet another woman. Known as Nat to most everyone, Natalie is a single mom to Quinn. But when she’s under the bright spotlights in a thong, she’s known as Natasha or Nataleigh Dallas. A girl who once had everything going for her, she’s now a jaded stripper with only room for her son in her life, and has erected impenetrable barriers around her heart. The strength of those walls is challenged the night a man she has known since childhood steamrolls his way back into her life, flashing those smoky-gray eyes that have always melted her. A man she has loved from afar since she was a young girl, one who lights fire to her walls, burning deeper, setting everything ablaze––smoldering her. Asher and Natalie, two people who are equally tormented by their own demons, set out to rescue each other as part-time lovers in a torrid, desperate workplace affair. Thinking they can remain friends while keeping their hearts at a safe distance, they find themselves at odds when their situation morphs into a messy, tangled mess. Ripping free of each other proves impossible as they learn that the very web that connects them goes much deeper than they ever expected.

♥♥♥ A story about second chances in this hard world of ours. This book was an enjoyable read. Had the right amount of grittiness and sexiness.

The characters were great and the plot was good as well.

A very good read ♥♥♥

  Q&A with Rachel:

Do you have a special time to write?
How is your day structured writing-wise? I like to write mid-morning when it is quiet and I recently brewed a fresh pot of coffee. I don’t structure my writing day…when I sit to write and it starts flowing, I cancel everything I had originally set. Sad, but I can’t force it, so when it happens, it happens…and I reschedule. I also like to write a coffee shop. I stick on my head phones, but something about the people drifting in and out helps me?!?!? FUNNY Story – I was sitting in a coffee place and writing a weird scene and a friend walked in…and because I had my head phones on, I yelled, “Hey, so-and-so, what kind of drug can be mixed with coke to cause a blackout?” And, this woman putting cream in her coffee looked at me like I was crazy, and I responded with, “Oh no, not for me.” THIS is how real my characters become to me.

What is for you the perfect book hero? I like bad boys. Really bad boys. Naughty, Dirty, Foul-Mouthed men who know their way around a bedroom and a KITCHEN! Except, preferably one who doesn’t cook bacon. I hate the smell of bacon. I don’t get how that is romantic to smell a pig cooking! HA. Just give me a cup of java and a donut, and get back in bed.

Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers? THANK you!!! For everything. I wish I could know each and everyone of you possibly and share a donut and coffee with all my readers.

  Teaser

At this point, the moon was waning, the sun about to burst over the horizon, and I began to dread what I would look like in the orange glow of daylight. Not really how I looked, but I feared in the light of day I’d be seen for the traitorous asshole I was. I wanted to hide in the shadows of the night, to make amends wrapped in the warm glow of the moon and stars against a background of awe, mystery, and suspense. Forgiveness seemed so much more attainable in the shadows, and now brightness was chasing me away, bringing me back to reality where I was meant to live a life without the unconditional support of a woman. Wasn't that what my mom taught me? I was in a mental fight with the sun when I heard Natalie speak. “This is it, Ash. I’m leaving. I know you came here to try and stop me, but you can’t. You can’t always be my protector, boss, friend, and sometimes lover. It’s all too much. Together—separate—it doesn’t matter. It’s too consuming. You’re both my salve and my kryptonite, and I have to get out on my own.” I wanted to roar, but then remembered the sleeping kid behind her slightly ajar door and her neighbors, who more than likely worked hard at getting a good night’s sleep. And, my pride. I stood up, kissed her on the cheek, and walked away. The sun was coming, and I wouldn’t, couldn’t, refused to be exposed in the light of day. I had laid my heart on the line. I would be damned if I stood with the hot desert rays burning down on me and begged.

Blurb

She ruined me. The walls I’d built were for a reason, locking myself in my own personal prison was out of necessity. Now, with the rubble at my feet, I could do nothing but watch as she ripped my soul in two, taking the half she owned with her.

The need to settle down, to find that missing piece, for the all-consuming love, was never Drew’s plan. He’d spent the better part of a decade suppressing all memory of love, of life. He told himself he had the essentials; the impressive apartment, the successful club, the simple uncomplicated life he’d worked so hard to create. All he needed. Until Mia.

She entered his life like wildfire, burning through his world and destroying all pretences of simplicity, bringing out everything he’d fought to deny.

Longing. Warmth. Love.

She made him want it all but Amelia lived in the darkness. It had always been her constant, yet terrifying companion. A shadow she'd never been able to out run and one fateful night, it finally consumed her. Shattering both their worlds and burying them deeper in the dark.

Drew will stop at nothing to save her, for their happy ever after but, Mia isn’t the only one with demons … it’s a long way out of the darkness.

Excerpt

~Drew~

I’ve been sitting across from my kitchen, with what started as a full bottle of whiskey, long past dripping wet, for the past three hours, twenty two minutes and thirty nine seconds. I counted. Watched the time on the microwave minuscule change every sixty seconds and the diluted sun light slowly fill the empty room. For every thought I had, I took a shot. The bottle has been empty for the last seventy eight minutes and nineteen seconds. The thoughts only ebbed, I should have grabbed a second bottle, but I couldn’t move, so I began to replace all thought with numbers. An endless array of numbers.
Three hours.
Twenty four minutes.
Eleven, twelve, thirteen—.
There’s a vibrating. No, a pounding. In my head? Oh aye, that’s been there for hours. This, this one is new, or maybe I'm just barking mad. I cannae tell—.
“Drew!” Jules? I'm hearing voices, that’s never a good sign. “Shit, you reckon he’s done something stupid?” Hmph.
“It is early, he might be sleep— Julian, put those bloody daggers away. You woke me up at the crack of dawn, he could be sleeping.” Georgia? I cannae be blootered after one bottle, can I?
“Sure G, of course. Did you go back to sleep after I told you Mia was gone?” Mia… the pain that was never truly gone, resurfaces full throttle. The intensity brings everything I’d tried for the past— bollocks, I’ve lost the numbers— some odd number of hours, to drown. The endless, agonising thoughts burning like acid, begin to churn in my stomach and the unmistakable feeling I’m going to puke bubbles to the surface again. Fuck.

For six years, a letter has dictated Amelia’s future. She’s running from a past that refuses to stop, always trying to get one step ahead. Amelia is clever and resilient, and refuses to slip up.

Excerpt:

“Leave,” James repeats. The word sweeps over the boys surrounding me like an icy cold breeze from the asscrack of Antarctica. He’s really got the serial killer vibe going on. Even I have to resist the urge to jump up and run for the hills. I don’t blame my harem for scattering, leaving me sitting exposed and undefended on the counter, at the mercy of James Reid.

I point at him. “You scared away my harem.”

“Those guys were looking at you like you’re a piece of meat.” His tone is thick with disgust.

“Technically I am a piece of meat. Plus bones and stuff. Also, don’t you think that’s a bit hypocritical?”

I expect him to scoff at this, to shrug it off or deny it. Instead he cuts his eyes away from me. “I’m sorry,” he says finally. “I shouldn’t have jump—”

“Jump-started my car for me,” I interrupted loudly, fully aware that Sigrid is straining to listen in on our conversation, even if she is across the room. “You’re right. You should have just let me take it to the shop. Some things should be done by professionals.”

A ghost of a smile traces its way upward from the corners of his lips. It’s the first time I’ve seen him smile, and damn, is it dangerous. I swallow and look away. “Although—even though I know that I shouldn’t have let you near my car, and you’re definitely not coming near it again, you don’t need to apologize. At the time, I really wanted you to jump-start my car.”

My phone buzzes. I glance down. A text from Iris. Think of a better euphemism. You’re not being subtle.

“Did you just say I’m not a professional?” he asks, leaning one-handed on the counter so that his thumb is bare inches away from my thigh. He’s close enough to count the goose pimples that appear on my skin.

“Definitely an amateur,” I smirk.

His hand inches closer. “Why don’t you call me next time your car needs some work done and I’ll show you more of what I’m capable of.”
