Some secrets are meant to stay hidden …
Secrets could kill you. My husband is the prime example.
I’m a trophy wife. Someone’s prized possession, just there to be pretty. My dreams were pushed aside for his. Until one fateful night, one chance encounter, all his dirty secrets were exposed.
And then my supposed husband is killed.
I should be sad, but all I feel is anger. My husband is a lying, cheating bastard. And if that isn’t bad enough, I’m now the prime suspect for his murder.
Only his brother believes I'm innocent, and in his support, I find relief. However, I will find the real killer and bring him to justice ... before he tries to end my life too.
~ Stalker
Fuck me once, I'll fuck you twice … then I'll bury you.
No prison can keep me from seeking revenge. Especially when it comes to her.
She, the woman who put me in jail.
I swore that I’d come for her, to claim what belongs to me: Her life.
I’m not a good man. On the contrary, I love to be bad. It’s in my veins. Just like it’s in my veins to ruin her.
She’s an actress, pretending to be a saint, but we both know that isn’t true. One way or another, she’ll pay for what she did.
I will hunt for her. Make her fear me. Make her body mine.
Bad deeds never go unpunished … And I always go out with a bang.
WARNING: Contains graphic violence, alcohol, drugs & other disturbing content some readers may find offensive.
No Cliffhanger. Complete at 118000 words.

Arc received in exchange for an honest review
I love Clarissa's books so when the chance came up to review this I jumped at it.
What we have here a a seriously dark prequel read, there are twists and turns, seriously hot sexy scenes.
Vanessa seems to be stuck in a loveless marriage and she stays to provide an image and standing for herself. But is she all that she seems, is she the innocent one in all of this?
Phoenix is a seriously dark alpha male and has no conscience, he does a job and does it well.
It was a quick read but this is only the prequel and it leaves you with questions that you really want answering.
The way Clarissa writes makes you want more and more, you will start a book and not put it down until you have finished.
I cannot wait for the next book.

After reading the prequel to this, I was excited to read this book and Clarissa has not disappointed yet again....
This is one hell of a dark and twisted read, there are so many twists and turns, you will never know where you are going and you will always be guessing wrong.
Phoenix is a killer, a man you don't want to involve yourself in, or cross as he will come after you with vengeance in mind. For some reason though he is one of those characters that you love to hate. You have to think there must be a reason for him to be the way he is, and we find out all the reasons that he is in this book. It is not what you think, I was surprised.
Vanessa is a person that in the beginning, you will think is a victim in all of this, but she is just as dark and twisted as Phoenix.
I loved reading this book, you have everything you want in a read, dark, twisted, hot scenes, mysteries unravelled.
Clarissa has a way with her writing that just pulls you in from page one, and it is a book that you don't want to put down until you have finished. It is better though if you read the prequel first as then you will have more an understanding of what is going on.

"Hard times call for desperate measures.
And we're both in desperate need of consolation. In whatever way necessary."
Vanessa finds herself as the prime suspect in the murder of her husband. One night at a party for the rich and famous ends her tempestuous marriage with a man she has grown to hate but to the world she has perfected a Stepford wife image. His murder does not quite go to plan and the resulting complications begin a cat and mouse game between Vanessa, the innocent tool in the murder and Phoenix the hired killer....
Everything is not what seems and with each chapter I grew more and more shocked. Who is pulling the strings and what are these people capable of? The civilised masks they hide behind cover their blackened souls, their rot disguised by a thin veneer of beauty and innocence. Who is Phoenix? Why? And Vanessa....I think she may be related to Eve, she's so full of sin and tempting she give the devil himself a run for his money!
I completed this short read and was left chasing the next hit...I felt like I was part of the car wreck! Loved it. The writing style is frenetic just like the plot, gripping and twisted it's the perfect dark romance. They love to hate one another and their secrets are going to be very very juicy!
A five star wtf read!

~*~ Obsessed by Books copy given in exchange for an honest review ~*~
"I want to fuck her.
I want to break her.
I want to throw her into the abyss.
Taste her...kill her...put her down where she belongs."
Stalker picks up where Killer ended...Phoenix is in prison plotting his revenge against the woman who has ensnared him in her web of deceit. Planning to own her and destroy her but unsure in which order Phoenix has become a haunted man. Unable to focus on anything other than his need to have her at his mercy he executes his escape and hunts his prey down...
Vanessa has had four years in her self made misery. One husband dead she quickly replaced him with the brother and became a successful starlet. Not everything is rosy behind closed doors though and she seems caught in a time warp just with the other brother. Serving her time in purgatory in a loveless relationship she despairs of her life. Until Phoenix returns, reducing her to nothing more than a a plaything, a pet. Trapped in her own home Phoenix has carefully planned their time together with no distractions. His plan to expose her for the rotten liar she is unearths more than he was expecting.
Told in dual pov with scenes from their past we gain an insight into two very cold and manipulative minds. One is honed by his childhood of abuse, passed from one home to another having learned at the hands of others how to harness his anger to defeat his opponents. The other has been finely perfected by her parents to become the master of manipulation, to switch off her feelings and use others to gain power and respect. Together they were doomed from the start but the heart wants what the heart wants bugger to the consequences. The price they pay unfolds in this gripping story of puppet and master but who is who?
"For his love, I could die.
For my love, he would kill.
We're bad, in the worst kind of way, but sometimes you need a little bad in your life...So bad, you realise life isn't worth living without someone to be evil with."
A modern day Romeo and Juliet kinda, maybe more Bonnie and Clyde. Fate keeps ensuring their paths intertwine. Meeting in the playground, growing up together only to cross paths once again. They both have dark natures and know how to survive. Vanessa...I really didn't like her. I thought she deserve every punishment and every humiliating deed. I had hoped she would redeem herself yet even when the pieces all slotted together I still loathed her. As for Phoenix he stole a piece of my heart as I imagined the lost and lonely boy he once was and how he was willing to do anything for the only person who showed him any kindness. Love is the greatest weapon of all and I think Vanessa knew that all along!
A four star is this really the end read?!?

Excerpt
“Are you going to be a good girl?”
“Yes.”
“Do you still think I’m nice?”
She swallows and thinks about her answer for a second. “Only when you want to be.”
“Exactly. And you don’t get to decide anything. You don’t get to manipulate me. I won’t allow it, so don’t try it ever again.” I grip her ass so tight that she squirms and my fingers mark her skin red.
Her face glows as I lean in to take a whiff of her scent. Her face is much cleaner than before, and all the make-up has rinsed off. She looks pure … less tainted than hours before. Every passing second her shifting behavior affects me. Changes me. It forces me to look at her in more ways than just the one consumed by hatred.
With the water cascading down her beautiful body, puckered nipples, and pink lips, I get the sudden urge to take what belongs to me.
So, I do. I kiss her, pressing my lips softly onto hers, marking her as mine. She doesn’t fight, doesn’t even flinch as I kiss her gently, my tongue dipping out to lick her sweet, icy-cold lips. I let my tongue roam free across her mouth and push inside, forcing her to open up and let me in. She doesn’t resist; instead, her tongue finds mine, and her lips cling to me. The cold doesn’t suppress the warmth flowing to my cock, which grows thicker every second. All I can think of is kissing her, fucking her every fucking second of the day …, and then ruining her for life.
I step into the shower with her, increasing the temperature further until it’s warm enough to heat up her body. She’s still shivering, as I press her firmly into my warm body. She makes herself small to fit between my arms, as if I’m a radiator she’s cuddling up to. How cute. I just want to fuck her with my tongue.
Her taste is exhilarating, and I can’t fucking get enough of tasting her, her mouth latching onto mine with equal wantonness. Her body is quickly regaining its normal temperature, and her natural flush reappears on her face, although I’m not exactly sure if that’s because of the shower or because I’m grabbing her ass and pushing her body against mine.
The urge to turn her around and bend her over gets bigger and bigger as she pants into my mouth, desperate for air … desperate for more kisses. I let my hands roam free over her body, cupping her tit and giving it a nice squeeze. My mouth silences her first moan, as I taste her willingness to finally submit. And, oh … how I will make her submit.
