What She Lost And Found

Her life seemed perfect...
Her best friend since childhood, was like a sister to her. Wherever she'd go, her best friend Christina, was usually nearby. It should have been a wonderful beginning into adulthood during her freshman year of college. Unfortunately, two horrible nights would shake her world to the core.
Innocence would be stolen, lives would be shattered
and a young life is lost. Nothing would ever be the same again for Daniela.

Daniela Franco stopped trusting others after a horrible ordeal she experienced, at the hands of people within her own hometown. With a past that relentlessly continues to control her life, she decides to protect herself by never allowing anyone to get close enough to destroy her world again.

Her secrets from the past begin to slowly resurface, threatening to rock her world again in the dark and destructive ways it had years earlier.
Can Daniela face the demons from her past, when they are determined to finish what was started?
Will the people she has begun opening up to, be able to survive her secrets as well as their own?

With new friendships, chances to build trust again, the possibility of finding love and experiencing intimacy the way it is meant to be,

*****I received an arc in exchange for an honest review*****

This book was truly amazing, there will be tears and heartbreak, anger where you just want to hit out at the character, then you remember they are not real, and there is a twist that you really will not expect.

ML Garcia has some true talent here with this book, it's well written, you will not want to put it down.

A truly brilliant read.

This book is about love and loss.

The friendship the form becomes extremely close, that Daniela starts forming feelings she not quite sure of and even though Nathan is telling her how he feels, she's afraid of losing their friendship. while dealing with her feelings for Nathan she meets Alex who she grows feelings for as well. She's not sure about Alex due to his side job, but decides to try with him.

Daniela has made friends, grown feelings, she has actually open her self up to live. but when she goes back home and visit with Nick she gets that uneasy feeling again. Will Daniela ever feel safe and will she ever get her true love.

This book had a lot of characters and each one played an important part in this story. Although Daniela suffers a great deal, she stays strong with help of all her friends. I gave this book a 4 star rating, it was just that I hated so much happen to this one girl, but the book itself is awesome.

Review by Nadia Chief Obsessive Pimpette

~*~Obsessed By Books arc copy given in exchange for am honest review~*~

Where to begin? This debut novel is full to brim with bikers, rockers and a murder...it's action packed!

Kat, the lead singer of The Grinders, has tragically lost her mother and her voice too soon. With her inability to sing and her grief for the things she no longer has she retreats to her Mother's home in a quiet town far from the prying eyes of her adoring public. There she tries to find herself and plan her future...

Dane, the President of the Savage Stalkers MC, knew Kat's mum and is trying look out for her due to the debt he feels he still owes. He quickly decides that Kat is going to be his Old Lady, not just his neighbour.

This doesn't so much focus on the life of the MC but more of the madness of being famous and being caught up in the public eye. The relationship between Dane and Kat becomes all consuming for them and he becomes her rock during an emotional time. The plot has a few twists and turns, it keeps you gripped and when the stalker is revealed it's an Ahhhhh moment. The book is written from various POV so be sure to read who's perspective you are getting! The plot is fast paced and serves to act as a great introduction to some characters that I hope will be explored in the future. There is a lot to take in during this book...the story introduces numerous sub plots, hints at more about certain people and the backstory of the Savage Stalkers still needs to be explored. The long missing VP also rides in during the ending scenes so I hope we see more of him too. So although no cliffhanger ending as the loose ends are neatly tied up I still have questions...many many questions!

Four staunchly provocative stars.

Review by Emma Mistress of all Dark and Twisted

Savage Stalker is the debut novel by Kathleen Kelly and combines bikers and Rockstars. What a perfect mix in my eyes.
Savage Stalker is the story of Kat, a rockstar, who has lost her ability to sing and Dane, the President of Savage Angels MC . Kat is trying to recover from her accident and find her way in the world now she can no longer perform. Dane, who was a very good friend of her mother's, and his MC are trying to look out for her after she escapes from the modern world to the middle of nowhere on her own and see her as family due to their connection to her mum.

Savage Stalker is not your average MC love story, it's a game of cat and mouse with action, suspense and mystery. Someone is after Kat and is willing to hurt others to get her, how far are they willing to go to achieve what they want? Are they someone she knows or somebody new? Whoever it is has met their match as Dane and his MC look after their family and Kat is included in that. Her band family also play a huge role in this book and the dynamics between the two sides of Kat's family is entertaining.

A good first debut and I can't wait to see how things go forward but I hope their is only one or two Pov's next time as I found having many got confusing and lead away from the plot at times.

3.5 stars

This book was a different read to most I've read before. We have a mixture of rockers and bikers, in which I found to be a good mix.

The characters we equally hot in their own ways, and the sexy scenes we hot, but I was shocked about one of the scenes, but the author has pushed the boundaries on this one and I feel that sometimes this is a good thing to do.

What I didn't really like was the multiple POV's as I felt that there were too many and this let the book down a bit, and the reason behind 3.5 stars.

Overall it was a good read, but I feel that it could be developed more in some places.

Mack and Cassie are a strong couple . Although Cassie is bull headed and tries to do things herself which inferates Mack.

We have the Prime Minister who has just been shot at along with Mack who is trying to save him, we move ahead where Mack is trying to heal and this is where he meets Cassie , Cassie is needing go fine her father and is trying to get Mack to tell her. Cassie is very persistent in trying to find out about her father, but when things change and Mack has to give and protect her father with Cassies help the excitement starts. They hate each other as much as they are drawn together . I wasn't sure about this book  being historical but it was a really good book.

4.0 out of 5 stars

I received this ARC for a honest review. This is my first read by this author. Mack and Cassie to me are one perfect match. Hate then love then hate again!! This was an interesting book to read. Not my norm but I am very happy that I read it. This book was full as excitement, humor, and dangerous situations. The romance side of this book was just a plus.

Would recommend to all who love a historical romances.

EXCERPT
Never in his life had Mack been more angry than when he heard Cassie slam that bolt
into place. Not when his father had disowned him. Not even when Cassie had called him a
bastard. No, when he had heard that telling snick, he had seen red. Before he knew what he was
doing, he had raised his booted foot and slammed it into the door near the doorknob. Mack had
felt great satisfaction when the door flew open, and even more when he witnessed the stunned
expression on his wife’s face.
“You’re not going to get away from me,” he stalked her across the room.
“Don’t make me hurt you,” she threatened.
“I have studied your moves, Cassie darlin’. You’ll not be hurting me anymore.”
Cassie made a sharp move and found it countered. She tried another one and found the
same. He moved on her like a jungle cat. He pinned her against the wall, her hands above her
head. He felt her breathing grow fast and labored and knew she was not unaffected by his touch.
Mack forced her legs wide so he could wedge himself between them. At first he did it to keep
her from attempting to unman him, but as he settled against her, he felt some relief as his
throbbing erection pressed against the span of softness between her pelvis.
“Do you feel what you do to me?” he whispered. He placed a soft kiss on her forehead.
Mack pulled back and saw that her eyes were tightly closed, and her lips were pursed shut. He
dropped gentle kisses over each of her eyes, then her cheeks, and finally the upturned tip of her
nose. His lips caressed hers, lightly, teasingly, but she remained the same, trying to block out
what he did to her. Mack let the tip of his tongue glide against the seam of her lips and though
her eyes flew open, her delectable mouth remained tightly shut against his invasion. She left him
no choice. “Forgive me, darlin’,” he said before crushing his lips roughly against hers.
***
“Ow!” Cassie managed to get out before she found Mack exploring the recesses of her
mouth. Her lips throbbed where he had ground them against her teeth, but somehow he seemed
to soothe even that small injury. She felt her heart beating heavily in her chest. Cassie would be
lying if she said she was not the least excited about what her husband was doing to her.
Husband, she thought. She had never thought she would find herself married. The boys in the
village had always thought her much too strange and learned for them. Then when their little
family had moved to London after her mother’s death, she had not gone about looking for a
husband or friends.
“Where are you?” he asked, resting his forehead against hers.
Cassie found herself staring into a pair of smokey silver eyes, rimmed with dark lashes.
Dark brows formed a ‘V’ from the way he scrutinized her. Cassie flexed her hands that were still
pinned above her head because her fingers ached to rake through his short, dark hair. She
wanted to test the texture. Was it silky or coarse? “Do you know you have flecks of silver in
your hair?” she asked curiously.
“I would say half of them have been caused by you.”
“Me? We haven’t even known each other that long. How dare you accuse me…”
“Did you know your eyes flash when you’re angry? They look like they are lit from
within.”
                “Let go of me.”
“Not on your life,” he said.
Cassie didn’t fight him as he plundered her mouth like a marauding pirate. This time
there was no way her mind drifted. The things he was doing to her were making her insides
melt. She began to respond, and she heard a deep groan.
“That’s it,” he said before returning to her mouth once more. This time he nibbled at her
lips as if they were a fine delicacy. “You look so bloody beautiful,” he whispered as he moved to
nibble on her right earlobe.
“No, I don’t,” she replied breathily. “I’m just plain.”
“Whoever told you that was a liar.” Mack bent down and lifted her up in his arms.
                “What are you doing?”
                “Taking you to bed.”
She started wiggling in his arms. “Put me down. You were going to sleep elsewhere.
Besides it’s afternoon, you said so.”
“You put paid to me staying in another room when you bolted that door.” He held her
tight in his arms. “As for the time of day, I can see you better this way.”
“That’s improper!” Cassie was flabbergasted at what he proposed. She knew what
happened between a man and woman, but assumed it happened in the dark of night.
“Nothing is improper between a husband and wife.”
He sounded almost wicked and shivers ran up and down her spine. She found herself
placed on her feet next to the bed and spun around so that her back was to Mack. Cool air hit her
heated skin as buttons were slipped free.
“I don’t know whether to thank Mikala or murder her.”
“Why’s that?” Cassie licked her dry lips, her breath raspy.
“Because she picked the most exquisite dress, but it also has too many bloody buttons.”
Cassie giggled.
“Did you just giggle? The staid and always serious Cassiopeia Elizabeth Graham
McKenzie giggled?”
“No,” she denied, attempting to keep a straight face. She jumped when she felt his lips
brush her nape, and then lower until he reached the edge of her chemise. She tried to take a step
away from him, but he just followed her.
“You’re not going to escape me, Cassie.”
She felt his lips brushing along one shoulder, then her nape again, and finally her other
shoulder. His hand brushed along her spine, only the fine cloth of her chemise keeping her from
fully feeling his touch on her heated skin. “Copulating will not erase the issues between us.”
“I agree, but it will ease some of this tension we feel around one another.”

Winter in Paris giveaway!
One week in Paris. One chance with her childhood crush. And one lie that could ruin it all.

Before she was Dr. Celeste London, Astrophysicist, she was Mary Celeste Haverford: dork, loser, the geek formerly known as Hairy Mary. But she’d left all that behind—and left Ion Blackwell behind, nothing but an unrequited crush and the memory of a high school field trip, a night in Paris, and the words Celeste had never had the courage to say. She’d never expected to see him again…until a surprise encounter on a Parisian riverboat tour brings him back into her life, and gives her the opportunity to start over as someone new. Someone Ion doesn’t recognize, transformed from a social outcast into a polished, professional woman that Ion doesn’t realize is the girl he’s been longing for since childhood, the ideal he’s dreamed of his entire life.

Suddenly this vivacious (if charmingly awkward) “new” woman is teaching him that real love is better than any dream—but Celeste is hiding more than her identity. Hiding something that makes it hard to trust her increasingly erratic behavior, and her frequent secretive phone calls. When the truth comes out, the deception could shatter them both…unless they can give each other a second chance, and take a risk on love.

Excerpt

With a smile, Celeste leaned on the rail. She’d been a silly girl, heart on her sleeve, but she kind of missed that. Falling in love was never the same—never as light, as sweet, as guileless, the emotion not as raw or real when it became about work schedules and who paid for dinner and whether it was too soon to have sex. Mundane things took the romance out of it, when at sixteen it had been about wishing for that one perfect, breathless, magical kiss with that special someone who didn’t even know she was alive.
Now she just had a half-dozen ex-special someones who said she was an amazing friend, but a lousy girlfriend.
Her eyes stung. She should be standing here with…someone. People did that; they fell in love and took romantic trips to Paris, and cuddled on dreamy moonlit boat tours. But even then she’d have been worrying over her presentation for tomorrow, wondering if Ophelia gave their father his meds, pondering wind speed for Kelvin-Helmholtz instability in Jupiter’s Red Spot, picking out constellations…and never quite here with the imaginary boyfriend.
She really wasn’t cut out for relationships.
She lifted her gaze to the sky and picked out Venus. It hurt, when she smiled. “Guess I wasted a wish,” she whispered. “Do I get a do-over?”
The soft scuff of a sole against the deck warned when someone approached. She straightened, rubbed her eyes, and pulled her hoodie tighter around herself. Last thing she wanted was to ruin some happy couple’s romantic Parisian night when they stumbled on a single woman on the verge of a nostalgic crying jag. They’d probably think she was pulling a Rose, about to fling herself dramatically over the rail of the mini-Titanic.
The footsteps stopped at her side, barely a foot away. She caught a sense of height, masculine body heat, a quietly commanding presence. A low voice rolled over her, husky baritone like whiskey and silk.
Belle nuit, n’est-ce pas?” he asked, softly accented inflections agonizingly familiar. Celeste looked up, her heart tumbling to the very bottom of her chest and constricting painfully tight.
Fathomless blue eyes looked over the water, set in an elegantly sculpted face: ten years older, more weathered, tanned complexion darkened by the shadow of stubble—but so distinctive she’d know him anywhere. She clutched the railing with fingers almost numb to the cool metal, blood draining to leave them rubbery. She knew him. She knew him, but there was no way it could be him. It was impossible. It was incredible. It was absolutely unbelievable, and she had to be hallucinating.
It was Ion Blackwell.
