It Started Like This
By Jessie Lane
(A Chelsea Camaron approved message)
Chelsea Camaron and I do a lot of plotting together. In fact, she’s the person I call to help me through my writer’s blocks. For me, the Regulators MC was an idea I thought up shortly after writing Secret Maneuvers. In depth, the Regulators MC is quite a bit different from what I’ve seen concept wise. However, I was intimidated by the idea of stepping into the biker romance arena. So, I put the idea on the back burner although CC said she thought it would totally kick ass. Time passed, and then I started writing Stripping Her Defenses. This was where I knew the Regulators MC would make an entrance into my writing world. They were always involved in Riley Sullivan’s story line and how he finds his ex-wife after their divorce. But the more I thought about them, the more I loved the idea of them. Still, I didn’t think I could do it on my own. I, admittedly, am not the expert at that sort of alpha man. Then it hit me. I needed my best friend. She writes an alpha man like nobody’s business! So I called CC and I laid it all out for her, positively sure I was going to have to beg. And I would have too. I would have begged and pleaded and even shed crocodile tears to talk her into the Regulators MC project. Luckily, she didn’t make me do all that. She immediately started spouting ideas for the series and I asked her if she would marry me and have little author babies with me. She told me our husband’s probably wouldn’t like that idea but we could totally write those books. So, I gave up the idea of running away and marrying my bestie and settled for writing the Regulators MC instead. I’m SO glad she said yes. She’s breathed this amazing, unbelievable life into characters in a way I never could have accomplished. I’m a lucky, lucky woman to have a friend who balances me so beautifully. She’s my ying to her yang. In closing, I can’t wait for everyone to read Ice. It already blows me away and it’s not even done yet. These characters… AHHH I love these characters. I can honestly say I couldn’t have done it without the fabulous, incredible, marvelous (I’m kissing my best friend’s ass here, bear with me) stunning, phenomenal friend. Hopefully, after you read Ice, you’ll love it as much as we both do. Thanks for having me here today! Happy reading everyone!
Ice Playlist
Ice’s playlist is filled with hard rockin’ songs that we feel represent the rugged men of the Regulators Motorcycle Club. These guys may be rough and tumble, but deep down they’re the type of men that would fight to the death for their woman. Chelsea Camaron’s Songs: Evanescence - Lost In Paradise Thirty Seconds to Mars - Hurricane - This is the lifestyle of The Regulators MC (would you kill to save a life, would you kill to prove you are right are some of the lyrics). Don Omar, Tego Calderon - Bandoleros - Tied up in a world with the Cuban Mafia. Three Days Grace - Give Me A Reason Halestorm - Better Sorry than Safe Staind - Something to Remind You Three Days Grace - Home Three Days Grace - I Hate Everything About You - When Morgan first meets Ice he's an ass. The first few times they are around each other there isn't love shared between them. Jessie Lane’s Playlist: Otherwise - Darker Side of the Moon Hellyeah – Moth – How I see Ice’s slow burning infatuation with the innocent Morgan. Starset - My Demons Nonpoint - Breaking Skin Devour the Day – Respect - Ice isn’t the sort of man who would trust easily. You’d have to earn that sort of respect by showing him just what sort of person you are. A pushover would never be able to hold the position he holds in the Regulators MC. Demon Hunter - The Last One Alive – Ice has personal demons that follow him in the form of his ex. He’s a haunted man. Chelsea and I are still working on Ice, so there will definitely be more songs added to the playlist between now and release day. Ice release December 8th, 2014, so get ready to grab those e-readers and delve into some alpha, bad boy biker goodness!

Chelsea grew up turning wrenches alongside her father, and from that grew her love for old muscle cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles, which just so happened to inspired her ‘Daddy’s Girls’ series. Her love for reading has sparked a new love for writing and she currently has a few more projects in the works. When she is not spending her days writing you can find her playing with her kids, attending car shows, going on motorcycle rides on the back of her husband’s Harley, snuggling down with her new favorite book or watching any movie that Vin Diesel might happen to be in. She hates being serious and is still a big kid at heart. She is a small town country girl enjoying life and, Chelsea hopes that her readers remember not to take life too seriously and to embrace your inner five year old, because five year olds know how to enjoy the simple things in life and how to always have fun.

Excerpt

“Now, that’s not fair. How can someone look so unbelievably hot in just my T-shirt and boxer briefs?” He makes me blush, which is not easy to do. He saunters over to me and wraps his arms around my waist, letting his hands slowly wander down the back of the boxers. Grazing my backside with both hands, Donovan gently grabs a handful. “These look so damn sexy on you. Forget about Victoria’s Secret.”

“I may have to steal these to wear at home,” I say. “I like the way the shirt smells of you.” I lift the collar, taking a whiff.

“Really? They’re clean.”

“I know I can smell the laundry soap, but I can also smell your scent on it.”

“Hmm. Something about that is sexy, too. Okay, you can take the shirt home, but we’ll keep these boxers here for you when you sleep over. Deal?” Donovan says, squeezing my bottom. “Now let’s get this cute little ass of yours into my bed.”

I giggle and pause at the foot of the bed.

“Wait. What side do you sleep on?” He points to the right side, furthest from the door. “I sleep on that side.” Which makes sense since the alarm clock is over there. So I walk over to the left side and slide in under the covers. Donovan takes a quick trip to the bathroom and when he comes out he turns the lights off, checks the locks on the door, and comes over to his side of the bed, slipping under the covers.

“Can I kiss you good night?” he asks, shifting on his side to face me.

“I would love that. Please do,” I purr at him.

The room is almost pitch black except for the faint blue glow of the clock radio, but I can make out Donovan is leaning in for a kiss. When our lips connect a warm glow begins to spread from my face to my neck and down my body. So slowly and gently we move our lips together. The contact awakens all the sexual feelings suppressed throughout the night, during our no-touching ride-along. Donovan lifts his hand to stroke the side of my face and cradles my head, deepening the kiss. His tongue is cool and tastes of toothpaste and Diet Coke. Our breaths begin to mingle and come at a more rapid rate. With every exhale Donovan absorbs the earlier tension allowing me to relax and succumb to him. We continue to kiss—lips, tongue, lips and tongue, making love with our mouths.

Donovan’s hand leaves my face and, starting at my waist, inches up to my right breast. Skimming the pad of his thumb along my erect nipple, he sends a shockwave of passion right between my thighs and I arc into his hand. His kissing becomes more urgent and our breaths come in quick short bursts forcing us to break. Moving his lips along my jawline to my neck and over to the sensitive spot below my ear, he continues kissing, licking and sucking on my neck and fondling my right breast over the T-shirt.

Moving his hand back down to my waist, he slips his hand under the shirt, stroking my bare skin and making me shudder. A small whimper seeps from my mouth, and like a beacon, the sound brings Donovan’s lips back to mine. With each stroke he moves his hand higher up my shirt. The anticipation of his hand touching my breast is almost agonizing, and I begin sucking and biting at his lower lip and teasing his mouth with my tongue. I want him to touch me so badly, but he’s taking his time.

COVER REVEAL:Feel by Karen-Anne Stewart @SKarenAnne

BOOK & AUTHOR INFO:

Feel by Karen-Anne Stewart
Publication date: December 2014
Genres: New Adult, Paranormal Romance

Synopsis:
The one whose emotions I can’t feel is the one who makes me feel the most.
I was a sensitive, at least that’s what I was told by the boy who saved me from the overwhelming emotions that consumed my soul, the boy who saved me from myself when my gift became stronger. Through the years, he was my redemption, my reason to take my next breath…then, he was gone.
Jensen always told me I was strong, but I didn’t believe him until I was forced to be strong on my own, and I kept breathing without him. I’ve taken 42 million breaths since the moment he sent me away. Now, four years later, he’s standing in front of me, and I can barely breathe.
This isn’t just a story about the abilities I possess; it’s a story about something much stronger…the love of the man who possesses every part of me.
***Disclaimer – Feel is intended for readers 18+ due to strong language, mature scenes, and some violence.

Excerpt:

I place my hand over his, leaning my cheek against the warmth of his touch before backing away so I can see him.  I’m insane for falling for him again, but it seems my heart isn’t giving me a choice at the moment, ignoring how the rest of me is scared as hell it will never survive if he breaks it this time.
   “I don’t want you to hurt,” I whisper.  I don’t.
“Then, please stop fighting what we are together and get your stubborn ass over here so I can kiss you like I haven’t seen your pretty face in four long fucking years.”
I take one step towards him and that’s all he needs to wrap me in his arms, pulling me against his chest to close the rest of the distance between us as his hungry mouth collides against mine.  His teeth nip the fullness of my bottom lip then his tongue caresses and strokes the sensitive, tingling skin.  All strength in my body is stolen by the liberating dominance in his kiss, bruising and healing wrapped in one breathtaking seduction.  My knees no longer work, but the rest of my body becomes alive, responding to his touch, awakening me from the emptiness I’ve lived in for so long.  This is what I’ve craved.  What I’ve missed.  His taste, scent, and touch have haunted me, and I breathe them all in deeply now, terrified they will be gone again.
His fingers slide against my neck before softly tangling my hair in his fist.  My head spins at his gentle touch mixed with his rough, passionate kiss.  My lips part, granting his tongue all the access it wants, and he takes it greedily, sliding his tongue against mine, taming and setting me free.  His kiss is scorching, searing me as liquid heat pulses low in my stomach.  I feel the damp cotton pressing against where I need him to be so badly right now. Soft whimpers rumble up my throat, the needy pants muffled against his hot mouth. Jensen’s hand pulls me flush to his body and I feel him, hardened and throbbing, against my stomach.  My gasp fills the air.  I twist my waist, straddling myself against the muscles on his thigh.

Excerpt:

Her dark eyes are clouded with doubt as she searches me, needing me to tell her what I see, needing me to be her strength right now after she’s been strong on her own for far too long, and just needing me.  I want to rip the hearts out of everyone who has hurt her, but I tame the rage so I can give her everything she needs of me right now.  “The second I met you I knew that you were special and I don’t mean just because of your gift.  There’s this wild gentleness buried inside of you that is rare.  You fight for what you believe, never backing down, even when you felt all the pain, all of the shit from everyone fighting to restrain you.  You didn’t give a damn what you lost of yourself and did what you felt was right, what needed to be done.  There aren’t many people like you left, Saige.  You said I was your hero, well, I’m not the hero here.  You are.
“I’m sorry,” she blurts, rubbing her hands down her tear stained cheeks.
“For what?” I ask, using my thumbs to help her dry her tears.
“I don’t know,” she answers.  “For punching your friend, for being stupid, for everything.”
“That’s a helluva lot to be sorry for.”  My lips curve into a smile and another tear slides down her cheek, leaving a hot, wet trail that I trace with my finger.
“I’m also sorry for how I’ve treated you since we met again.”
“You thought I sent you to a nut house.  Don’t sweat it,” I tease, trying to cheer her up.
“So that excuses my being a total bitch to you?” Her eyes are red and puffy when she stops rubbing them and gives me a lopsided smile, looking so damn beautiful.
“No, it explains why you’ve been a total bitch,” I grin, giving her a wicked wink, “but I have a whole other slew of ideas of how you can make up to me for your bitchiness.”
She laughs, the sound soft yet strong, and so fucking seducing, the sweet lull rumbles through her throat like an aphrodisiac.  After what she said about Wes, I can’t be like him.  She deserves to know she’s loved before she gives herself to me.  After all she’s been through, I won’t risk the chance that she’ll get scared I’ll leave her like he did.  There will be no doubt about how much I love her when we make love for the first time; I’ll make damn sure of that.

The door slammed shut, and a moment later the coach swayed off. The air in the small compartment quickly turned hot and humid. “Did you enjoy your card game?” Justine asked. “Were you always such an avid player? I suppose your company this evening inspired you.” Brandon hissed in air and pulled her into his lap with one swift movement. He tugged her legs over his so that she straddled him. Her chest tightened under the fierceness of his eyes and his firm grip. That demanding touch lit a fire inside her, a fire she barely understood. He wrapped a hand around her neck and pulled her down close taking her mouth in a hungry kiss, his tongue searching for hers, lashing, inflaming her further. Her fingers gripped the thick lapels of his great coat. His hands traveled down to her hips shoving her into position over him, and a sharp breath escaped her when she felt the pressure of his hardness right between her legs, just where she ached for him. The jostling of the coach pushed her against him roughly, and she let out a small cry as the friction between them multiplied her need. He let out a heavy breath as he slipped one hand under her dress over her bare flesh. Her body jerked in his arms, and a low cry escaped her lips as his fingers found her. “Yes, there you are,” he breathed, his voice thick in the darkness. He knew her body very well, and she immediately flooded with heat under his insistent touch. He buried his face in her bosom, his other hand sliding down her rear. Two of his fingers slid inside her, and she shuddered in his arms. “Brandon…” “You’re soaked.” He let out an expletive-filled groan. His fingers claimed her depths as his thumb stroked over her, teasing, rubbing. Her arms clutched his neck and shoulders, her thighs tightened, and she came apart sharply in his grip, letting out a low moan. “You liked that, eh, Lady Graven?” His smug, harsh tone struck her like an icy blast of winter air. Was that scorn, a taunt? Had he just proven a point? Her heart shrank. He had marked her like an animal in heat, showed her who was her master, proved to her to whom she belonged. She twisted back from his chest, but his strength was too much for her. His one hand fisted tightly in her hair, and he brought their faces inches apart. “Are you punishing me?” she asked against his lips, the back of her throat stinging. “Are you trying to teach me a lesson?” His eyes creased. “Punishing you?” “Yes, yes, punishing me.” “What the devil are you talking about?” “I told you you’d hate me for this marriage, you’d resent me.” Her hands pushed against his shoulders. “Tonight you saw what’s been denied you, and you’re angry.” His body hardened under her, his fingers gripped her bare thigh. “I am annoyed about Charles and Andrew,” Brandon said, his other hand releasing its tight hold on her hair. “But I don’t hate you.” His hands slid over her hips and pressed into her rear. Her breath caught in the darkness. The gentle yet carnal possessiveness of that gesture only set off a spiral of heat in her chest. “I don’t think I could ever hate you, Justine,” he whispered.
