Author Bio

For as long as I can remember, I've loved to write, poetry, short stories just about anything. My English teachers in school kept telling me I should write and it took me a lot of years to finally get around to it.

I spent too long worrying about failing as a writer before I realized that living with the regret of never trying was worse.

I live in a sleepy country town in Tasmania, Australia with my partner and our three children, who aren't so little anymore, plus a whole assortment of animals.

Natasha's Awakening is my first book but I have no intention of stopping now and will continue to live my dream of being a published author. I have just published Taming Eric which is his POV to Natasha's Awakening.

My interests are writing of course, reading, watching movies and hanging out at home with my family, our six cats and one dog.

~*~ Obsessed by books arc copy given in exchange for an honest review ~*~

'"Trust me Gabe. You're making the right decision." He smiled and extends his hand. I shake it feeling like I just signed a pact with the devil."'

And maybe Gabe did...this is his story, how he became part of the Last Hangman MC, what broke him and how he became the fierce but aloof brother of the MC. Following on from where the previous novel left the club has declared war on their long time nemesis club and cultivated a fragile bond of brotherhood with two rival clubs to work together to annihilate the threat of the Kings and Jared.

We learn how Gabe ended up taking care of his sister, how he found himself as part of the MC and we learn what horrors lurk in his dreams. With the delicate balance of future happiness weighted with the danger of their present can Gabe protect his club and his sister from harm? Can he end the master puppeteer that has all along been tugging his strings?

Tired of running, of existing Viv has returned home to the only place she felt she belonged. 12 years after the horrific chain of events that altered her life forever the guilt and pain has led her back to MC. Piecing together the years the have lost Gabe and Viv can't deny the attraction and neither one fights too hard to resist. They are sizzling hot together...although always overshadowed by their past and shared grief.

This is a beautiful story of making wrong decisions, second chances and the discovery that appearances are deceiving as we are all human and are victim to our own self doubts, which can motivate us to do the most baffling of things. This story really delves into the human psyche...showing how a bad decision can change your life, how fear can lead you on a merry chase and destroy the joy in your life.

After reading the Last Hangman series I am always left with a book hangover, they are well written emotional reads that although set in a turmoil of a MC club with the interwoven danger, back stabbing and shady dealings of that life, they focus on the emotions and the power of them.

I cannot wait to read Saunders story...another 4 star epic read.

Review by Julie Sweetheart Obsessive Pimpette

This third book is my favorite so far. Gabe and Viv are perfect for each other. This story had so many turns and twist in it that it made the ending bitter sweet. I will continue to follow this author. Excellent writing and amazing storyline. Highly recommend.

*** ARC provided by Obsessed by Books for an honest review ***

I really love this series The Last Hangman MC. This was another great read for me that I overly enjoyed reading and couldn't put it down. Teaching Aleck is the follow up to Saving Ayden it is best to read these books in order to understand the story and all the characters that are involved.

Aleck has had a hard life growing up he never had a real family to love him like most families do. He only had love for his sister and they were very close until she passed away. Aleck then got into drugs and his life was turned upside down until he met Anthony who is in the Last Hangman MC. He helped Aleck with his downfall of drugs and his heavy burden of losing his sister.

While at one of the MC's cookouts Charline Dane comes to hangout with Ayden who is her best friend she crosses paths with Aleck. Charline is 18 years old and is a few years younger than Aleck. He doesn't want to date someone who is 18 and to get into this life.

I highly recommend this book if you love MC books. These books will grab you on the first page and craving for more to come from this author. Can't wait to read book 3.

excerpt
Hudson “Hudson, it’s your night to set the table,” my mom shouts down the hallway to where I’m hiding out in my room, puffing on my one-hitter while watching Pitch Perfect for the umpteenth time. “Lasagna will be ready in ten minutes. It’s just us tonight.” Groaning, I reluctantly roll off the solid white comforter thrown haphazardly atop my bed until my toes squish into the soft carpet—shag, of course. Then, trudging my way to the kitchen, where my mom and Grams are putting the final touches on dinner, I grab the plates, silverware, and napkins for everyone. Dinnertime with my family, even when it doesn’t include all of the resort’s guests, is certifiably insane. Even though my older sisters flew the coop, they keep showing up at meal times, claiming they miss us, but I know they’re just here for the free meal. Scavengers. Thankfully, tonight’s not one of those nights. I’m not in the mood for their twenty questions about how the date with Beckham went, especially when the flavor of Crew’s lips is still fresh on mine. Not to mention, I’m positive my mom or dad will be sure to ask for the most inappropriate details within the first five minutes of us all sitting down. One of the major downfalls of having unconventional, free-spirited parents who preach peace, love, and rock and roll is having the most awkward, cringe-worthy conversations with them. “Thank you, sweetie.” Mel kisses me on the cheek when I walk by. “When you’re finished, can you tell your dad and Denver that the food’s ready? They’re outside chopping wood for the cold front moving through tomorrow.” “Yeppers. Is it finally gonna snow?” I ask, passing under the arched doorway that leads into our spacious dining room. “That’s what the weather guessers are claiming, at least,” she replies distrustfully, then adds, “Let the girls know it’s time too, please.” Ever since I can remember, we’ve always eaten dinner together at the table, a time to share about our day and stay connected as a family. When my mom says it’s time for dinner, unless we’re sick in bed or have other special plans that have been previously approved, our butts better be in our chairs, ready to participate in the conversation. This has never really bothered me, because before today, I’ve never had anything exciting to talk about, and now that I do, I don’t much feel like it. For once, I want something to be all mine. After I quickly set the table, I call upstairs for Cheyenne and Brighton to come down before alerting Doug and my little brother that it’s time to head inside. I haven’t changed out of my clothes from earlier, wanting to hang on to the faint trace of Crew’s cologne lingering in my plaid flannel shirt, so before everyone else joins me at the table, I take a quick sniff of it and allow a giddy giggle to escape, still a little uncertain about what what happened earlier means. “Yes, you need a shower, and no, it’s not funny.” Cheyenne startles me as she comes up from behind, making me jump several inches in my seat. She plops down next to me and crinkles her nose up like something stinks. “You always smell like outside…earthy; it’s no wonder you never have boyfriends.” “Leave her alone, Chey,” Doug scolds as the rest of the family filters in, everyone taking their usual seat. “She had a date just last night, which I’m sure she’s dying to tell us all about. Aren’t you, Hudson?” I squirm uncomfortably in my chair, hoping no one is paying much attention, since they’re all busy piling their plates full of Italian deliciousness. Several minutes pass without another mention of it, but as soon as everyone has served themselves and settled with their food in front of them, the topic is approached again. “Now, we’re all ears, Hudson. Tell us about last night. When are you seeing him again?” Mel asks eagerly. All eyes are locked on me, everyone waiting for me to divulge into some sensational story of heated passion. Setting my fork down on the edge of my plate, I take a drink of water and clear my throat. “I’m not sure I’ll be going out with Beckham again,” I mumble apprehensively, twisting a napkin in my lap. “The date was pretty bland, and I think we’re just better off as friends.” “Oh, honey, what happened? Were you embarrassed to see him afterwards at school today?” Mel’s expression quickly morphs into one of disappointment and pity. “If so, that’s totally normal. Don’t think he’s gonna go around telling his friends what you were like in bed, ‘cause that’s just a myth. Guys really aren’t like that.” “Yes, we are,” Doug interjects, “but it’s nothing to be ashamed of. Be proud you were good enough that he wanted to gloat. I tell all my friends how incredible Mel is in the sack.” What in the hell? “There’s nothing for him to talk about! We didn’t have sex! He took me to a movie, then brought me home and kissed me goodnight. That was it,” I insist, trying not to make eye contact with anyone while ignoring the snickers from my sisters. “Why not? Did you tell him you weren’t interested?” Mel inquires. Tossing my napkin down on the table, I shout, “No! He didn’t ask if I was interested or not, but if he would’ve, my answer would’ve been no!” I pause to take a deep breath then lower my voice to a calmer octave. “After hanging out together, I just wasn’t feeling it. It was like going out with Denver…there was no spark between us.” No one says a word for what seems like an eternity until Grams chimes in. “Did you feel a spark when you were making out with that cute boy in front of cabin eight this afternoon?” Somebody, please shoot me now. All hell breaks loose at the table as everyone’s shouting different things at me...everyone but Grams, who’s curiously silent again, sitting directly across the table from me, wearing a smug smile like she just won the damn lottery. “Enough! That’s enough!” Doug stands up and bangs his spoon on the table like a judge with a gavel, demanding the courtroom’s attention. Once it’s quiet, he falls back into his chair and slides his eyes over to me. “Hudson, please enlighten us on what Grams is talking about. Is it true?” Fidgeting like a guilty defendant on a witness stand, I shake my head no, but murmur, “Maybe.” More pandemonium ensues, mostly coming from Cheyenne and Brighton, who are arguing they already claimed him and that life isn’t fair. Annoyed that my sisters are trying to make this about them, this time it’s me who jumps out of my seat to get everyone’s attention. “Stop it! All of you! Just stop being so weird!” I scream, my control teetering. They all shut up and stare at me in amazement. I never lose my cool, like never ever, and this is the second time I’ve yelled in less than ten minutes. Shaking my head, I drop my chin to my chest and take several deep breaths. “Look, Beckham is a nice guy, but we’re just gonna be friends, because that’s all I want from him.” I stop and peer up at everyone, ensuring they’re paying attention before continuing, “I don’t know anything about Crew Elliott other than I met him last night, then saw him again this morning, and I felt something different. Call it a spark, an attraction, whatever you want, but it was definitely more than I’ve ever felt around another guy.” “But, sweetie,” my dad interrupts, “they’re only visiting. He’ll be gone next weekend.” “No, they’re actually moving here. Mary, the mom, had a job interview today, and they went looking for a place to live this afternoon,” I clarify as I sit back down. “The younger son, Caleb, has epilepsy, and they haven’t had any luck with the traditional drugs and treatments, so they’re moving here in hopes that medical marijuana can help with his seizures and migraines.” Both of my parents’ eyes fill with compassion as I go into detail about the family’s situation, and I know instantly that no matter what happens between me and Crew—even if it’s nothing at all—they’ll want to assist in any way possible. I explain how I researched the strains and took some samples of our stuff over to the cabin this evening, in order for Caleb to hopefully get some relief while they’re getting settled here. “You know we’ll do whatever we can, Hudson,” Mel says sincerely, glancing around the table. “All of us…anything they need. I can’t even imagine what that poor woman’s going through. We’ve been so blessed to have healthy kids.” Nodding appreciatively at my mom and dad, I relax momentarily, thinking the craziness has passed, but the second I pick my fork up, ready to finally dig into the now-cool meal in front of me, Cheyenne opens her big mouth. “What does any of this have to do with you kissing Crew today?” she snaps, obviously still bothered by the thought. However, rather than blowing up again or telling her to mind her own business, I simply flash a sugary-sweet smile in her direction and say, “Girls who smell like dirt must do it for him.”   trailer

 Excerpt

“Josef, are you okay?” Gabe asked quietly. Seeing the Vampire like this kinda scared him.

Josef whirled around, his ice-blue eyes as cold as Gabe had ever seen them. Gabe had seen those eyes, when Josef did some terrible things. Things that neither of them spoke of.

“No, indeed I am not, Gabriel!” Josef was talking quickly and Gabe was shocked. Firstly at his use of his full name, and secondly by the emotion that he clearly heard in Josef’s voice.

“She’s running, Gabe, has been for years. Whoever did that to her, they’re the ones after her, and I aim to find out who they are and make them pay. Did you see those scars Gabe? Did you?!” Josef’s voice had risen and bloody hell, he was downright fucking scary.

“Yes, Josef, I did. They’re old scars, she must’ve got them as a kid, Jo, a kid. Someone did that to a fucking kid!”

Gabe’s own voice was low and cold, and at his own use of Josef’s shortened name, the Vampire looked at him. He could see and feel the anger rolling off the Wolf. He was pretty sure Gabe could see and feel the same anger rolling from him. His body thrummed with it. He wanted to find these folks and fast.

He took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. He never lost control. “Okay, so I think I’ll stay out here tonight. I don’t want our little Peri trying to fly the coop. She may think that’s her only option, but we need to make sure she knows that it is not.”

Gabe nodded at Josef’s words. The same thing had been going through his mind. “I’ll keep you company, for a bit.”

The Wolf moved to one of the sofas and lay down, stretching out full length and staring at the ceiling. Whoever had done that, if they found them, shit, they were going to get hurt. Real bad. And Gabe would enjoy doing it.

Beau:
Life had offered me a pretty sweet ride. I had money, status and privilege. It bought me whatever I wanted, excused any indiscretion and included me in a VIP world.
But I didn’t give a shit.
None of it really mattered.
I’d lived for years in a fog after Marla broke up with me only to resurface when I had a car accident. It cost me my hockey career, my leg shattering as I wrapped my Ferrari F50 around a tree.
I was lucky to walk after that.
Having a near death experience scared me enough to straighten out my life.
I cut out the heavy partying and channeled my energy into becoming a workaholic and a fuckaholic. When I wasn’t at the office or working out, I was screwing every hot woman in Baltimore, trying to get Marla out of my head.
I could still remember how her soft skin tasted, the breathy, pitched moans she made as we went at it. It haunted me at times, even in the middle of a great fuck.
Marla was my first.
For everything.
I’d loved her so hard, I’d come apart at the seams when she left me.
I’d never been the same since.
Now, I just wanted to punish her.
Especially after seeing her at that party.
After all these years, she still took my breath away as she stood there wide-eyed. My blood ran hot and I wanted to make her squeal like the naughty girl she was hiding under that modest black dress she wore.
A rush of dirty flashbacks ran through my mind, mostly of her opening wide and welcoming me in. I had to control my first instinct to run over, scoop her up and lay a hard kiss on her sweet, lush mouth.
I had never gotten over her.
I knew it. I lived with it.
I should have been able to let her go and move on.
But she became ground zero for me when she blasted a hole the size of Texas in my heart. For now, I would settle for fucking her up, the way she had so easily done to me.
After I left the party and dumped the disappointed red-head back at her apartment, I sped off in my bright blue Bugatti Veyron as I high-tailed it across town. I had better things to do than waste my time dealing with her shit anyway. She was starting to look at me like we were more than fuck buddies.
We weren’t ever going to be more than that.
I would never trust a woman, again.
Not worth it.
I headed back to the Gators headquarters, where I conducted most of my business. Located in a high-rise, I keyed in my code and made my way up to the fifty-second floor in my private elevator.
As I set foot into the Gators office, everybody perked up.
The boss was in.
I passed a couple of women smiling in my direction, while men nodded in respect, through the glass plated walls of their offices.
Power was good.
Walking into my spacious office that overlooked the scenic ocean front, I was determined to dig up dirt on Marla. I had a million other projects that demanded my attention, but I didn’t care.
“Get Mitch on the phone for me, Donna,” I said to my secretary, taking off my jacket and throwing it on one of the leather high back chairs in front of my desk.
“You got it. Want some coffee?” she asked as I paced back and forth, trying to get ahold of myself.
Marla had me all whipped up. I could barely think straight.
“Sure.” I ran my hand through my hair, trying to settle my jets, wondering why that girl always got under my skin.
Donna brought me a cup of Joe, moseying in like she had all the time in the world. She was in her mid-fifties, with her red hair in a French twist, dressed like she was Peggy on the show Mad Men. She wasn’t crazy about technology, but she was the best damn secretary I could ask for —sharp as a tack, didn’t miss much, and she kept things running smoothly. Just what I liked.
“What’s got you all worked up?” she asked as she watched me pace.
“You don’t want to know.”
“Mm-hmm,” she said, studying me with her perceptive light blue gaze “I bet it’s a woman.”
“It might be…but you’ll never know.”
“Smart ass.”
I grinned. “You always keep it real, Donna.”
“Someone has to,” she shot back with a grin, turning around and heading toward the front of the office. A couple of seconds later, she shouted, “Mitch on line one,” as I grabbed the phone and sat down behind my big mahogany desk.
“What do you need?” my head of security asked as soon as he heard my voice.
“I need you to do some research for me.”
“On who?”
“Marla Matthews. I want everything on her. Leave no stone unturned.”
“Got it boss.”
I slammed down the phone and sat back in my black leather office chair. I lit a cigar, put my feet on my desk and thought about what had just happened.
God-damn Marla Matthews.
Still the most beautiful woman I had ever seen.
Curvy, sensuous, and hot.
She still had it, after all these years.
Twenty-two god-damn years.
I figured she’d be married with two kids by now.
But she’d been at the party all by herself.
Why?
It didn’t make sense.
I needed to know why she wasn’t married and being taken care of by another man. My gut clenched as I thought about the last time I saw her. She said some horrible things that I would never forgive her for.
I had been completely fooled by her innocent do-gooder act. But underneath her sweet veneer was a heartless woman who didn’t give a shit about anyone.
Least of all, me.
When I’d lived in Toronto, it been easier to put her into the back of my mind. Granted, I had been fucked up for many years, but still, I couldn’t see her because she was thousands of miles away.
But, here in Baltimore, it was hard to resist the temptation of knowing her every move. I could almost breathe her in here. No matter where I went.
I knew I would run into her sooner or later. Still, it had been a shock to my system, seeing her stare at me, like she was seeing a ghost.
FUCK! I couldn’t believe I still wanted to know what was going on in her life. It tore me up and I hated that she brought out so much emotion in me.
It hadn’t always been like that.
My first impression of Marla, when I saw her in the library all those years ago was that she was pretty, but a stick in the mud. She was a little frumpy in her overalls and plaid shirt.
Then she got all feisty with me when I showed no interest in that stupid paper on Jane Eyre for that damn Honors English class my dad pushed me into. Her big, brown doe eyes had flashed with anger when I called her boring.
Most girls would have twirled their hair and tried to win me over with a giggle and a smile.
Not Marla.
With tears in her eyes, she told me off without a second thought. So much passion in each word as she angrily picked up her notebook off the library table.
Whoa. She had all of my attention as she stalked off, while I sat back, wondering who she was.
How had I not noticed her before?
The sweet, brown eyes?
The long lashes that gave her an innocent, come-hither stare?
And that backside.
Heart-shaped.
Generous.
Hips for days.
Damn, I got a woody just watching her walk away.

Release Day Blitz

Wyatt by Amy-Beth
A Mistaken Novella

April 25th

After finding the girl who captivated my heart, I am about to find out how that one person can change EVERYTHING.

I am the nephew of the infamous Harry King, who loves nothing more than to get his own way no matter the consequences.

I believed Summer was safe from his grasp, I was adamant she was my everything. The reason I breathed… I learned too late that I was wrong.

Now because of them, I am staring at Bailey as he fights for his life in hospital.

This is my story! How that ONE girl, the WRONG girl came and altered our lives FOREVER!

My name is Wyatt King, and it’s my time to talk.

Excerpt

My body snaps up as I hear the screams,
“Please just let me go please, I will not tell anyone where I was or who you are. I just want to be with my mum, and I miss my little Springer Spaniel puppy. Please, please, please!”
Again I hear the cries of a woman ring out through the compound, reaching for my clothes I put them on quickly. Grabbing my phone and the knife I keep close to me, you know because you can't be too careful with Harry around.
Stepping out my room, I go in search of the cries I heard. No-one else seems to be around, listening for anything that would give her away. I hear the knob of a door turning in the distance, quickly I rush into an open door careful not to be seen. The smug look on Johnson’s face tells me that is where she is. I watch and listen for Johnson to leave, biding my time before I enter what seems to be a cupboard opposite Harry’s office.
When the coast is clear, I walk silently over to the room. Turning the knob silently, I’m happy to find it opens with ease, stupid mistake in my opinion. Walking silently into the room, it’s in pure darkness the only light coming from the doorway. I close it behind me gently, walking further into the small space. The smell of sweat, tears and urine fills the air. Holding my breath I walk along the walls, using my phone I illuminate the room a little more.

My heart just stops, there lying in front of me is Summer

Mistaken Identity (Book 1)

When two worlds collide how many will survive?

I've been captured for six years and yet no one has bothered to help me, the one person I thought might of helped disappeared all of a sudden. Each day for the last six years I’ve had to deal with him touching me, telling me what he wants to do and I can't stand it.

I have to find out who she is and why she is free and I am here locked away and used as a puppet, I need to know everyone I love is ok. Although my gut instinct is telling me I may already be too late.

My name is Morgan and this is my story.

Now or Never (Book 2)

My name is Morgan and I have been tortured, abused and tormented for over six years, I have prayed for help, I have screamed for the whys. I have fought with every fibre in my soul, but still he has won at every game he has played.

Harry King is not a force to be reckoned with, I have shown him all my cards and yet he still holds me in my cell of a room.

I am getting closer to finding out who Summer is and why I have had to suffer. All the players are getting into position, their final cards are about to be drawn, how many will see the light of darkness again? It’s time to find out once and for all.

It’s now or never
