Beautifully Used (The Beaumont Brothers #2) by Susan Griscom

Beautifully Used (The Beaumont Brothers #2)

A Beaumont Brothers Series stand-alone book 2
18+ due to adult situations

Suave, handsome Brodie Beaumont has a history of using and being used by women. Playing bass in his brother's band doesn't hurt.

A past he doesn’t like to talk about has turned him into the type of guy he is today, but he hasn’t really cared. Until the beautiful and feisty Gabrielle Demeres comes back into his life.

Gabrielle learned the hard way what type of guy Brodie was the first time she met him. His crude seduction attempt earned him a slap to his face, and Gabrielle wasn’t exactly looking forward to another encounter with the cad. Unfortunately, her best friend was marrying Brodie’s brother, and Gabrielle and Brodie would be forced to spend time together whether she liked it or not.

As things in the small, quiet town of Turtle Lake take a decidedly dark and dangerous turn, Gabrielle and Brodie only have each other to turn to. Will they be capable of overcoming their aversion to one another while coping with their own troubled pasts and dealing with the current dangers surrounding them? Or is their hostility just skating the fine line between love and hate?

~*~ Obsessed by books copy given in exchange for an honest review~*~

Having read this as a stand alone novel I thoroughly enjoyed meeting characters from the first novel in the Beaumont Brothers Series. Gabrielle and Brodie have misjudged each other during their first meeting and have to learn to lower their guard and let each other in. They are paired together as they are helping out with the impending nuptials for Brodies brother and Gabrielles best friend. They begin as friends and the heat between them smoulders until they can't deny the sparks flying between them.

Their pasts have been laced with heart ache, horror and tradegy and this is their story. Two emotionally scarred people finding each other when neither one expected it and helping to heal the pain that lingers. Will their journey be easy? You have to read it to find out!

4 heart warming stars.

I daydream often and sometimes my daydreams interrupt my daydreams. So I write to remember them. If I didn't write, I think my mind would explode from an overload of fantasy and weirdness. To the annoyance of my friends and family, my characters sometimes become a part of my world. During my childhood, I would frequently get in trouble in school for daydreaming. Eventually, my vivid imagination paid off and I had the privilege of writing and co-directing my sixth-grade class play—a dreadful disaster, though not from my writing, of course, I must blame it on the acting.

I enjoy writing about characters living in small quaint towns and tend to lean toward the unusual and spooky.

My paranormal playing field delves into a different milieu, abandoning vampires and werewolves, but not discounting them. Someday I might like to write a novel about vamps and those furry creatures. But for now I like the bizarre mixed with romance. A strong hero or heroine confronted with extraordinary forces of nature, powers and capabilities gets my blood running hot.

Hope you enjoy this deleted scene that didn’t make it into the final manuscript of TWISTED! J

Gray reclined in his seat, kicking out his legs as far as he could in the SUV’s back seat. It was one of those monster, tricked out ones like he still drove occasionally for Elite Transport, though that was mostly out of a sense of loyalty than anything else. It wasn’t like he needed the money anymore.
Or the access to blow.
As one of the co-lead guitarists of Oblivion, one of the biggest up-and-coming bands around—according to their press kit—he could get anything he wanted pretty much as soon as the thought occurred. Drugs, expensive alcohol, cheap girls. Those in particular were everywhere. A snap of a finger and he could have two in his lap.
Well, not right now. He was crammed in with his band, their manager and their driver in an Escalade zooming up Sepulveda Boulevard. There wasn’t any room in here for women.
He cast a quick glance to his right to their drummer. She sat with her knees drawn up to her chest as she bobbed her head to the music coming through her headphones. Aqua and sapphire blue striped hair waved down her back in time with her movements and sparkling bangle bracelets caught the passing sunlight every time she tapped her fingers against her thigh.
That particular woman didn’t count.
Even when she counted for too much.
He dragged his jacket over his face and tried to block out the voices around him. Too many voices. Before the past year, it had been a long time since he’d been in the middle of chaos, and now it was his daily reality.
Oblivion was on its way to another media thing at some big ass radio station in LA. That meant a couple of hours of standing around, waiting for their turn. Questions, photos, lots of acting fake. Maybe if he was lucky he’d get to strum his guitar on command and talk about the new single that was about to drop. Anything was better than muttering about his “songwriting process” and “if it was true what they said about guitarists in rock bands.” That usually meant some lewd joke about how fast he could get a woman off, which he’d answer with a cocky laugh while pretending he wasn’t mentally stabbing the deejay.
He loved music. It had saved him, was still saving him every goddamn day. What he didn’t love? The press. Talking too much. Anything that wasn’t, yanno, actually playing his freaking songs.
Smothering a yawn from under his jacket, he turned his cheek and tried to get a few minutes sleep. He’d been blessed with the ability to drop off anywhere anytime and that skill had come in very handy during their weeks on the road. When he wanted to check out, nothing stopped him.
Not even the song he’d written for Jazz playing on the radio for the first time.
He went still, barely breathing as the first frenetic notes of “Twisted” came out of the speakers. Everyone was talking so loudly that they didn’t hear it at first. Simon yelled something about needing a hamburger, and Deak tried to calm him down with promises to stop at a fast food place soon. Nick interjected a comment about Simon loving meat, especially the wet, pink kind. Jazz, happily oblivious, sung along to Alanis Morisette on her headphones.
And layered beneath it all played the words Gray had written the night he’d watched Jazz fuck another guy.
Everything I do, it’s for you. You don’t see it. Don’t feel it. I’m just the picture on the wall. The man you call. Maybe it’s your fault. Maybe it’s mine.
We got it twisted.
So twisted.
The shouts turned to silence, followed by loud whoops of laughter and cheers.
Hidden under his jacket, Gray groaned. He’d known this day would come—the day when the whole world got to hear him pour his heart out to the woman he’d loved since he was sixteen.
He just hadn’t been ready.
Would never be ready.

He’s always saved her. Now she’s going to return the favor…

Review by Emma Mistress of all Dark & Twisted

 4 of 5 stars  ·
This is a series which lives up to it's name... It's full of HEAT!!! This is a tale about a rock band Black Inferno and how if your life is lived in the public eye does anyone really know the real you??

Lacey and her best friend Roxie are a fun, fearless, feisty pair of girls who like to enjoy the good times, something's rather well together. One night they meet a pair of men: Cole and Mase and go onto have a very, very hot night!! Yes it's a foursome so please be aware!!

This leads to Cole and Lacey becoming a couple and everything seemingly being perfect. But theirs one secret being kept from Lacey and should this ever be revealed will everything ever be the same again for her and Cole??

I adored this novella it's full of sex, fights, drama and rock and roll and I can't wait for Ignite the second book to be released to see Roxie and Mase's relationship develops!!!

"How about we give you boys a little something?" I hear Roxie say from the other sofa. "Hell yeah,” Mason growls. Cole looks up at me. "Let me see that sexy body of yours Lacey." It's like I want to do anything he wants me to. Without thinking I get up from the sofa and walk to Roxie, who is already standing in the middle of the two sofas. She puts her arms around my shoulders and smiles over at Cole and Mason. "Lacey and I have had many lonely nights together." She trails her hand softly up the side of my body. She licks my cheek and says, "I love hearing her scream." I hear Mason groan and I laugh as Roxie slaps my bottom. I trail my finger from her throat and down to the swell of her breasts. "You scream just as loud Rox." "Fuck." I turn at the sound of Cole. He has his hand on his crotch. I grab a fistful of Roxie's hair and pull it to tilt her head back. She knows exactly what I'm doing and lets her mouth fall open. I lick across her soft lips and then Roxie takes my mouth. We passionately kiss, just like many times before but this time we have two very sexy men watching us. I reach up and grab Roxie's breast, squeezing hard because I know she likes it. I feel a body press against me from behind and I know its Cole. I see Mason turn Roxie around just before Cole turns me to face him. He kisses me wickedly and reaches behind me to unfasten my dress. He pulls the zipper down very slowly kissing along my jaw as he does. His eyes burn me from the inside when he looks at me in my black lacy underwear, then he gives me a very sexy smile. "Lacey in lace."

What happens when you discover the guy you’ve been seeing is a rock star? Well that's what happened to Lacey when she met Cole; now she’s forgiven him she's agreed to go on tour with his band.

On tour she has to cope with Cole's fame, his skanky groupies and getting to know the rest of the band.

Roxie, on the other hand, has a totally different dilemma. Not only is she quickly finding out her feelings for Lacey are a lot stronger than she thought, but she has to watch her with Cole. She’s also falling for Cole's brother, Mason, but how can she love two people? Unable to cope with everything she seeks solace in drinking; leading to some huge mistakes that she may not be forgiven for.

Ignite is book 2 in the Black Inferno series by K T Fisher and follows Lacey and Roxie as they journey with the band on the first leg of their American tour.

KT takes you on the turbulent journey of the highs and lows of life on the road, where the only escape from the claustrophobia of emotions, from being forced together for so long, may cause more harm than good. The highs are hot, mind blowing and of epic proportions countered with the painful, heart wrenching and traumatic lows.

Ignite introduces us to more of the band on Tate and Booker, plus the darker, ugly, sinister side of being in a band that's adored by many. This series is one of my favourite Rock Star ones and buy this and watch the pages Ignite!!

*** I was a beta for this book and loved every minute ***

I love reading, it's my favourite hobby. I've always had ideas for my own books packed into my head so I thought I would write them out for people to enjoy

But when she lashes out against a billionaire who won’t take no for an answer, she nearly loses everything—until Sebastian, steps in.  The owner’s son and handpicked successor, Sebastian is dark, sexy and kinder than any rich, powerful man should be.  And when he apologizes and offers to keep her job safe, , Aria can’t help the way her body reacts to his. Release Day Exclusive Sneak Peek at PLAY ME featuring a cameo with Ethan Frost from the NYT Bestselling RUINED and ADDICTED!
“What are you thinking?” Ethan asks after a minute and I’m just opening my mouth to tell him when there’s a sudden commotion at the door. I turn around just in time to see Aria burst through it, looking wilder and hotter than I’ve ever seen her.
She’s dressed in a crimson sundress that hugs every one of her curves even as it makes her olive skin glow. One of the straps has slid down her arm and her hair is a just-rolled-out-of-bed mess. But it’s a captivating look on her, one that has my mind flashing to about a million different things I’d like to do with her—all of which start with plopping her firm, lush ass on my desk and burying my face between her thighs. For hours.
I’m so distracted by the thought of making her come that I almost miss the upset on her face, confusion mixed with hurt and panic and fear. Once I get past her breasts and it sinks in, though, I’m off the couch and heading toward her in an instant. “What’s wrong, Aria? Are you—”
“Fuck me.”
I freeze in my tracks. “What did you say?”
“I want you to fuck me. Right now. Please.”
Ethan rockets up from his chair, shoots me a look that is half-amused, half-concerned. “I will take that as my cue to leave.”
The fact that Aria doesn’t even glance his way tells me all I need to know about her state of mind. All thoughts of Valducci and revenge disappear in my sudden worry for her.
“Baby.” I cross the last of the distance between us and pull her body flush against mine. “What’s going on? What’s wrong?”
“Nothing’s wrong. I’ve just been thinking about what you said on the phone earlier and I want it. I want all of it now.”

Author Bio:

Tracy Wolff collects books, English degrees and lipsticks and has been known to forget where—and sometimes who—she is when immersed in a great novel. At six she wrote her first short story—something with a rainbow and a prince—and at seven she forayed into the wonderful world of girls lit with her first Judy Blume novel. By ten she’d read everything in the young adult and classics sections of her local bookstore, so in desperation her mom started her on romance novels. And from the first page of the first book, Tracy knew she’d found her life-long love. Now an English professor at her local community college, she writes romances that run the gamut from contemporary to paranormal to erotic suspense.
