Ryan is a haunted man, "he" ghosts around in his head tainting today with "his" vile acts of the past. Ryan is tormented by the memories of the most terrible abuse perpetrated by his Uncle. A man that is his family and should have protected, not used him, abused him and let others do the same for profit. I was hurled into a frightened child's world, immersed in pain and self loathing for not being able to stop it. I am not ashamed to admit I sat reading with tears flowing as those scenes are by the most emotive, passionately written parts of the book. Strangely the consensual acts between Domme/Sub were not the main impetus to keep turning the pages. The kink factor is amazing and the sex scenes scorchingly hot, but magically woven with this man's battle to overcome. And that is why you should read this novel.
It's a beautifully written, heart wrenching story following Ryan as he learns to accept the things he can not change and shape his future so he is no longer dead inside. By submitting his will and fully trusting Stella, he finds freedom and peace. Stella us a sassy and wonderfully observant Domme. She is very skilled at reading every reaction and dealing with his inner demons. Thus is actually a story of hope, a true survivors tale. The ending is just perfect and made me smile. The loose ends are dealt with bit I would love to read more about Stella, how she ended up being the remarkable woman that saves not only Ryan but Mason too. I feel she has quite the past. Also Mason's story would be quite an adventure as he is a famous Hollywood Star!
Sorry my review didn't focus on the M/M F/F M/M/F scenes as although they are tantalizing and well written I felt ultimately that that wasn't the main plot to this story, it was a form of therapy for a man to lost to see his worth. A hauntingly wonderful 4 stars, only not 5 as I'm still furious that no one saved Ryan as a child! Powerful stuff.

I was intrigued and wanted to read this book to find out why Amazon had taken the decision to ban this.
I understood that this is a dark read and I am telling you now there are subjects that are focused on, that some readers will find distressing.
The author has focused on a difficult subject of child abuse, and there are very graphic scenes within this book, but she tackled them beautifully.
This is a story of a man, that despite all the terrible and horrific things that he was subjected to as a child, he tries to overcome this as an adult. A man that finds that he is confused about his sexuality as his feelings for his best friend grows, but also his feelings for a woman that I think helps him in ways that include being his Mistress and showing him the art of BDSM.
Yes this author has written a book that tackles the subject of child rape, and you will be emotional as you read this book. But she has written a perfectly beautiful read.
