The fun in writing State of Alliance was that I was able to remove Cassidy from the
middle of California – namely, the Central Valley and the Los Angeles area –
and take her to an entirely new setting: The Pacific Ocean. I had envisioned
this tale for a long time, and bringing it to life was epic!
Cassidy Hart’s story began in Los Angeles.
Since then, she has been primarily spending her time in the Central Valley of
California and the Sierra Nevada Mountains. State
of Alliance brings her tale to Monterey, California – one of the most
beautiful places in the Golden State. It has all the beauty and drama that a
storyline needs, and I was able to utilize some of the most popular hotspots in
the city as prime focal points in my plot – places like Cannery Row,
Fisherman’s Wharf and the Presidio.
The element of water allowed me to take
Cassidy into new adventures with the Navy – specifically where Chris Young is
concerned, since the love of her life is a SEAL. We’re throwing Commander Young
into his most skilled area of talent. There are so many things I loved about
writing this book, I don’t know if I can just choose one! I can’t wait to share
State of Alliance with the world!
