Synopsis

His dark obsession runs deep.

How does a girl go from being her Daddy’s precious baby doll to feeling like a filthy whore?

Easy really. When my father remarries it changes the course of my life and everything becomes . . . complicated.

My new stepbrother is a monster who hates me. Unapologetic, controlling and brazen he’s intent on making my life a living hell. Blackmails me into doing things I never thought I’d do. Illicit things.

Oliver King makes the rules. He f*cks me whenever he wants. How he wants. Where he wants.

My head screams this is wrong, yet I can't resist giving in to forbidden desires.

I’m his possession, his toy — his ultimate pleasure.

He’s never letting me go. I’m his dark obsession.

My dirty addiction to my stepbrother grows to a dangerous level. Am I sick to crave more from the man who has made me his slut? Or should I escape and run as far away as possible?

My name is Maya Childs and this is my story.

Dark erotic novel that contains sensitive subject matter that may make readers uncomfortable. Not appropriate for readers under 18. Contains explicit language and descriptions of sexual situations and violence.

Review by Nadia Chief Obsessive Pimpette

~*~ Obsessed by books arc received in exchange for an honest review ~*~

"Dirty. Illicit. Forbidden. I was wrong after all. I had died and gone to hell. My stepbrother was the devil himself showing me the way to burn for eternity."

....where to begin. This isn't really what I thought it would be, having read a few of the step siblings books that have been released recently I was thinking oh no here we go again...but actually I was wrong to presume. This is a lovingly crafted tale of love, lust and the battle fought to do the right thing although your instincts are screaming to ve selfish.

Maya and Oliver are brought together as step siblings when their parents remarry. Instantly Maya crushes on the slighted older but handsome Oliver. Oliver on the other hand views her as nothing more than an annoyance. A couple years pass and Maya has developed into a young woman...her emotions all over the place, too inexperienced to know that her lust and jealousy have her misreading the signals. This sets the stakes for a dangerous game of cat and mouse between herself and Oliver...

They dance around each other, striking below the belt, using others to hurt one another and pretend they don't care. Neither one acknowledging the pain they are inflicting to push each other away as they fight the growing attraction between them. Years pass and the hurt deepens until Maya can take no more. This last act of rebellion turns Oliver from her stepbrother at a distance to her shadow. And the floodgates of all the previous years repressed lust are opened. Keeping their relationship secret or so they think Oliver decides to end things as he can not live with the feelings she creates in him. Moving across the globe the pair try to get on with their lives separately until Oliver announcing his wedding.

Their relationship, the past, the ghosts haunting them are all revealed but will it be enough for them to follow their hearts? The Monster is not Oliver but the misconceptions, lies and deceit...the society we live in and the way people judge without knowing. This is a wonderfully crafted love story, love that is taboo and forbidden is sometimes the most understanding and beautiful.

Four amazing stars.

Review by Wendy Book Obsessed Pimpette

* * ARC received on behalf of obsessed by books for an honest review * *

Ok this book was nothing like I thought it would be, by reading the blurbs I thought it was going to be a dark read even reading the first couple of chapters and yeah to some it still may be a dark read, but to me it ended up being by kind of read.

I started out with a love/hate relationship for Oliver he can be a big a**hole and say hurtful things, but then he has a sexy dirty mouth and stakes claim on what he wants. Maya has had crush on her stepbrother for a while, she can't seem to get him off her mind, she wants him but he makes her feel so dirty and shameful he calls her slut when she still holds her v card. Oliver wants Maya but feels it's somthing one sided, that she's still the little brat he first met. when Oliver finds out Maya's secret he uses to his advantage, he uses Maya to get off, but it's done with out touching., this goes a couple of times til Oliver decides to leave that's it's for the best, he can't have these feelings. Two years pass and when Oliver returns the feelings are there, thank God for Bianca, he ca use her to Maya out of his system but it doesn't work, she's all he thinks about. Oliver can't stand the thought of someone else having her , so when the chance opens up they cross another line, now okay I know that Oliver comes off as a pick but when they have sex for the first time and he realizes it's Maya first it's sweet and that's when he knows he'll never get enough of her, but is this situation good for them. these two go on a whirl wind, they go up and down, back and forth do they, should they. it's a love like no other. I was really surprised in a good way. I loved the book.

Harlow Grace has tried many things in her life but writing has always been and still remains her passion.  She loves to create characters in need of redemption and her stories are mostly all dark romance but then again, she likes to mix things up so don't be surprised if she publishes a sweet romance every now and then.  When she's not writing or reading, Harlow is plotting and planning her next adventure or dreaming of lazy days in the sun with a good book in one hand and a cocktail in the other.
