~*~ Obsessed by Books arc given in exchange for an honest review ~*~
"This is completely f@cking perfect. I glance around the table and I'm filled with the deepest sense of belonging that rocks me to the inner most depths of my tortured soul...This is my family. It's not traditional, but it's mine, and I will do everything in my power to protect what's mine. Down to my last breath."
And Dylan really would sacrifice himself for anyone he loves. He is the humorous yet dependable right hand man of Fianna Fail, a drug runner and a soldier of destiny. He is relied upon to protect his Family, providing back up for Ethan, Troy and Sean. With his own messed up childhood he places his rank within the organisation as a priority as they are the only family he has ever had. He is Troy's best friend and everyone respects him. He lightens the grimness of some of the scenes and at times it's easy to forget the part he plays. His boxer shorts had me smiling throughout a scene where they were in jeopardy of becoming toast! This story is cleverly written to intertwine drama, danger, suspense and humour into one lovingly crafted story. It follows on directly from Troy, book one in this series, and I totally recommend reading them in order.
Fiannna Fail owns Palms, Florida. They are an organised crime family that owns the police, runs drugs and whores and everything in between. Troy, Ethan and Dylan are the next in line for the throne of the empire and have been raised in the brutality and expectation of taking over from a young age. Each of them honed and trained in killing, subterfuge and stealth. In this novel we learn just how well these men work together as a unit to take out all threats to their Family. Hunting down the threat and seeking retribution for the death of Troy's mother the boys continue to track down the perpetrator...
The ongoing plot is developed well and has a tantalizing blend of tension, suspense to make the cat and mouse game played totally enthralling. Add to this a chance meeting of a broken Angel and you have Dylan's story. He falls from the moment he sees her...something catches his awareness and his heart is taken. Having watched his best friend
become pussy whipped Dylan is fast to know what is happening to him.
Raven, who is Trisha's cousin, convinced to go to a party where she crosses paths with D. The way she instantly responds to him terrifies and confuses her as she is living a nightmare yet Dylan manages to stir a deep longing inside her. Thrown together by the meddling Trisha who is unaware of the daily torment Raven suffers, life drastically changed course as Ravens mother ODs. The scabs are ripped mercilessly away to leave open wounds but can Dylan help to heal her?
Can this broken Angel be saved by a tarnished anti hero? Are the threats to the Family too great to overcome? Not everyone will survive and there will be blood...lots of it. I am not ashamed to admit I had tears rolling down my cheek reading the horror of Raven's life and the events that had shaped her. She instantly became a favourite character when she punched a man in her introductory scene! She is sassy and a fighter. A true match to Dylan's fun loving yet honorable character. This book had me smiling, chewing my nails and peaking out from under my duvet...
Another 5 gut wrenching star read.

OMG just when I thought you couldn't get hotter than Troy, I'm introduced to Dylan, of coursehis a bad boy with a big heart, hut his humorous and had a soft side. Raven is an awesome character. but she's afraid of rejection by Dylan, but when these two are together BOOM they are perfect togeyher. Just as the first book the characters are awesome and we learned a little bit about Ethan and I hope to see his story.

Sneak Peak at Dylan...
Here is a small excerpt from book two in my Fianna Fail series!!!! If you haven't read book one, Troy, get it now for only $0.99, and get ready for Dylan! Coming March 8th
“Are you going to the fight this weekend? I know Trisha will be there, and I won’t even lie and say I don’t want you to be there.” Dylan’s words make my heart stop and my palms start to sweat. Say no, Raven! You can’t be close to him like this!
“Yeah, I’ll be there.” What? That’s the opposite of no, Raven!
Dylan’s smile is so bright it rivals every star I’ve ever seen. I can’t look away. It’s not one thing in particular about him that pulls me in, it’s everything. How could anyone not want to be close to him? How could I not want to be close to him?
“I’m still not sleeping with you.” I say it just as the door swings open, and an extremely disheveled Trisha and Ethan stumble in. I look at them briefly before I shift my gaze back to Dylan.
His expression is amused as he brings a hand up to run soft fingers over the skin of my cheek. I tense from head-to-toe, but if he notices he doesn’t say anything about it.
“I still haven’t asked.” His words are only loud enough for me to hear, but when I look back at Trisha she is smiling like a kid in a candy store, and I know it’s because of our close proximity.
“Let’s go, man, we have things to take care of.” Ethan’s words seem to snap Dylan out of whatever trance he had been in.
He stands, and my eyes follow his movements until my head is tipping back just to see his face towering above me.
“See you ladies this weekend.” He winks at me, gives a slight wave to Trisha, and then follows Ethan out of the room.
Thank you for your post, and AMAZING review!!! :)
