We see the outcome of Xavier's & Anna's love in this book. Anna I felt grew stronger in this book, learning so much more after leaving her controlling family behind and finally having the life she deserves. She knows exactly what is worth fighting for.
Xavier is still a strong alpha male being held down by darkness, unbelieving that he deserves good and love in his life.
This was a fantastic read, it truly shows that no matter how much darkness there is, there is always light.
Filled with angst, murder, secrets revealed, love, light what more can you ask for in a read.

We start were we left off in bk one. Anna and X are trying out thier relationship with each other. They both have very strong feelings for each other and Anna is trying to understand all that makes up X and she's trying to help him with his temper, but that becomes hard when it seems everything is going against them. X has a past with demons and they resurface making it hard to be honest with Anna, they have enemies who are wanting to destroy them. Is thier love strong enough, can Anna trust him when she needs him the most and will X finally realize his worth. I loved it what a great story and of course you want more. definitely a must read.

SNEAK PEEK AT XAVIER COLD
“You tired?” he asks. It doesn’t hit me until he mentions being tired on how exhausted I actually am. Tonight’s been stressful, and I’m sure, if I allow myself to close my eyes for even the briefest time, I’d fall asleep on the spot. But I refuse to let go of Xavier. When I thought they would lock him up and throw away the key, the opportunity to hold him against me anytime I wanted felt like it was quickly being ripped away. So, for now, I choose to stay here, in his presence, breathing him in as much as I possibly can. I tilt my head up and stare into his light-blue eyes. “I’m ready for bed, but I don’t want to sleep just yet.” For the first time since the chaos of the day began, Xavier smiles, but it’s not just any smile.
