Parker is an investment businessman, buying companies that need a cash boost or being a shareholder in exchange for financial backing. A friend has offered him an unique opportunity, one that leads to more than he bargained for. Society X is a high class club, dealing in wicked desires and hidden pleasures. Membership is exclusive and the price tag high for the services included. Parker is intrigued and his need to seduce someone not based on reputation but on senses alone sells the idea to try the Dark Room. Anonymous sex in the dark, with no way to distinguish who your partner is captures Parker's interest, to experience the act without his partner expecting more or seeing pound signs, once he has had a taste he wants more...

Mia is trapped in her routine, having dumped her cheating boyfriend and still helping out in her brothers gym she's lost her motivation for her passion - design and passion. A girls night out leads her into Society X and an offer to trial the perks of membership. One night in the Dark Room to reconnect with her sexual desires and rediscover Mia the woman after he ex has destroyed her confidence is all she wants to kick start her fresh start. Yet the experience in the Dark Room starts an addiction to the faceless man that she just can't get enough of. Outside Society X her life takes a drastic turn when her childhood friend asks for help with his latest acquisition. Given the opportunity Mia reawakens her passion for design and discovers her flair for success. Working with her childhood crush is crossing all the boundaries but the dark room helps take the edge off of the unrequited longing she feels for her brother's best friend. Yet the encounters in the dark start to feel a little too familiar...

Dark Room is really a story about fate, love and perceptions. Destiny...is our lives already mapped out and will we always find a way to gravitate towards the other of our souls? Parker and Mia are both looking for an escape to their every day pressures and are in denial about how they truly feel believing wrongly that they can never be together. Finding excuses to not act upon their attraction for fear of rejection the Dark Room helps them explore what they really want...each other! This is an intriguing will they won't they type read as we know from the start who they are partnered with in the Dark Room...waiting to see how their story developed had me reading this in one sitting. Well written, light hearted and overall upbeat there are a couple twists and turns to ramp up the tension. I'd love to visit Society X again... ;)

A four star steamy read.
