Obsessed by Books are proud to be sponsoring The Manchester Author Event & Gig 2016

This exciting event is going to be taking place at The Red Rose Steam Society Ltd. mining museum, on the outskirts of Manchester, just off the A580/East Lancs Road. This is the main trunk road between Manchester and Liverpool.

We have 43 confirmed authors attending the event and over the next few weeks I will be introducing you to them.

The book signing will run throughout the day, from 11 am to 5 pm. with a hour lunch break from 1.30 - 2.30 pm
Tickets are available to purchase now via Eventbrite.

We have two models booked already to add to the fun.

An eclectic mix of genre will be at this event.

The two models we have confirmed for the event are Scott King and Matt Stobbs. Also some of the authors are bringing models along, so updates on them soon.

This is Scott King

You can find Scott's page on Facebook here

And Matt Stobbs.

You can find Matt on twitterwebsite and Facebook.

Other models attending along with their respective authors are Alex Jordan Devenport

Erin Urban is the inspiration behind her mother, Lavinia Urban's, Erin the Fire Goddess series when she asked her mother to write her a story after being bullied.

Erin is a 14 year old girl (15 in June) who dreams of one day becoming a Graphic Designer.

The evening acts that are confirmed so far are Mog Stanley and Officer.
We will also have a number of spoken word performers at this event including The Grumbling Gargoyle, Lynn Gerrard. A mistress of dark humour.

I recently did an album review for Mog and loved the album. I have also watched Officer perform at a friend's book launch in St Helen's. Very pleased and excited they are both signed up for the event

The event will be held in two marquees in the grounds of the museum. The largest being 21 x 15 metres, also a smaller marquee will house the beer tent & refreshments.
Afternoon tea of sandwiches and cakes will be available.
BBQ planned for the evening event.

Plenty of parking is also available at the venue
