Synopsis
The Red Market is where every pound of flesh has a price tag tacked onto it. It is a place where money can buy you everything, even a heart.
Caesar has fallen and a new boss, Mateo, has risen; but he has lost his Lettie Doll and he doesn’t know where to find her. She stole his soul and now he must find someone to replace her. Just like her love, his new power is an illusion. The real force behind the Red Market is about to show her cards and no one wants to play her game.
Mateo and Lettie will both have to fight to find their love, but sometimes it is only found in death. You cannot go through life unnoticed by demise when you play with it every day. Sooner or later, it catches up with you and you lose.

TGG - teaser 3

"The dirty princess was birthed from a tainted king, and soon, they would fall in love and their empire would come crumbling down."

An empire built on goodbyes, death and life by a heinous woman who couldn't face her failures and craved to fix her son. Ramira is the mastermind and much feared boss of the Red Market, ruling with an iron fist her boys are spiralling ever further into the pits of hell. Their obsession with pain, death and sexual deviance ignites a dep seated need in her to fix them of their dark desires and as such she only serves to fuel the fires of depravity further. Secrets and lies keep everyone on the toes as they all have their own hand to play with Mateo, Hugo and Caesar each wanting to be the ruler of the Red Market how do they plan to illicit control from the reigning Queen? The need for Lettie is also a driving force akin to needing oxygen but one wants to love her, one needs her dead...whispers speak to the devil wearing his skin and madness lingers so near the surface of a boy who doesn't know how to truly love.

The Goodbye Girl is a totally different read. It is powerfully written, rich in imagery and leaves you feeling on edge. The prose are carefully constructed to lead you down a dark and vicious path that you are unable to escape. The scenes depicted are gross, violent and shows a blatant disregard for morals and love as we know it. The plot is twisty and although layers of how and why are stripped back, no excuses are made for the choices of either Caesar or Mateo. Lettie herself evolves from a lamb to the slaughter into a majestically rabid lion. She is after all her Father's daughter. Hugo is my secret favourite villain in all of this and very deserving of his own story being told.

A guilty pleasure as I think my dark heart enjoyed the depravity, wallowing in the gutter with some of the most obscene examples of humanity. Without the hope of redemption as none them want to be saved it just made their story even more darkly tempting and forbidden. Not for the faint of heart you will either love it or hate this story is the epitome of all things wrong with society.

A five star blood soaked read.

Dysfunctional empires were made to fall.
I am Caesar. Broken and conflicted. I am a man who gives false goodness to those who crave it. I provide solace to the ones who beg to be saved, giving them the goodbyes they want. But, my quiet little world is about to be shattered by the whispers from heaven and hell.
I am Mateo. Unlovable and unworthy. I am the boy everyone runs from. I keep love close to me in little jars of perfection, reminding me of a thousand goodbyes I never had to say, because I left them before they could leave me.
I am Svetlana. Dirty and Used. Birthed into brutality while still trying to comprehend my version of normal. I am an injured lamb, eaten by filthy wolves day after day. Just as salvation seems like it’s within reach, a goodbye from this awful world is all that I wish for.
