I was looking forward to Nina's latest read, and I wasn't disappointed.
Callie is a woman that you will love, she is a strong woman that isn't afraid to say what she means and do what is right. She is however having trouble with her love life as she is not meeting the right man that will love her just as she needs. She does have a crush though, on a man that irritates her as well as sets her on fire. Little does she know that the feeling is mutual and one night she is informed of his feelings.
Luke is a man that has been dealt a rough hand, but is trying to pull his life back together. He is a strong willed alpha male, and he puts on a persona as a man that is moody. Sometimes the things that come out of his mouth can be perceived as wrong, but in his own way he is only protecting those he loves the best way he can.
This was another good read from Nina, and one I recommend to all book lovers out there.

Sassy, independent and with a habit of speaking her mind she is looking for a man to break her sex drought. Luke is her best friends boss and owner of her favourite bar. For the past 12 months they have clashed but she can't deny that the man wears his tight T-shirts well! He is emotionally distant and closed off which irks her sunny disposition but after one night of passion can she peel back his layers?
Callie is well meaning and inquisitive, searching for the answers and needing the truth. Luke has had the weight of the world on his shoulders as his life has not met his expectations. He has a complicated back story that has defined the man he has become. Their romance is not destined to be smooth sailing but can they survive the storm?
Steal My Breath has the signature writing style of Nina Levine with dirty mouths, bossy alpha males and female characters that hold their own. With a little drama, a sprinkling of angst and a huge pinch of steamy shenanigans this has all the ingredients for another magical story from this author. Its a little softer, a little more cozy Sunday afternoon reading compared to her MC reads but on the whole this story stole my breath with its sweet and emotional storyline.
A four and a half star read.

Lord have mercy this book was so good and addicting. Wow just wow Nina has done it again I really loved reading Steal My Breath this book was fantastic and wonderful. I loved the story line and the characters this book is filled with passion and love. Luke is businessman who is trying to run a business but he is having difficulty time doing it and raising a son as well. Callie St. James has complications with on line dating until she meet Luke and then things start to heat up for them both. She has been lusting after him for years and now finally gets to hook up with him. This was a great book highly recommend it!

I stand and move to him. His back muscles tense when I place my hand on his shoulder. “I want to get to know everything about you, Luke Hardy,” I say and he spins around to face me.
His eyes search mine. “You already know the important bits.”
“No, I don’t.” I rest my hand against his chest. “I don’t know the secrets you keep locked in here. They’re the important bits.”
His intake of breath is sharp and he wraps his hand around mine. His other hand slides around my waist and he pulls me close.
Oh, shit.
No.
Too close.
But his lips brush across mine before I can move out of his embrace. His hold is tight and his message is very clear—he’s in charge here and if a kiss is what he wants, a kiss is what he will have.
He surprises me, though, and angles his face away from mine. Still keeping hold of me, he says, “I know we’re doing the friends-only thing for awhile, but a man’s got needs, Callie. If you put your hands on me, you better be prepared for the consequence of that.”
I’m pretty sure my eyes almost pop out of my head. I knew Luke was bossy—oh, boy did I know—but this is a whole new level of bossy. His deep voice vibrates along my skin, scattering goose bumps, while his eyes penetrate my soul. Those intense, green eyes of his will do it to me every time. They’ll cause me to forget everything I’ve ever said or thought and just cling to him for the ride.
He dips his face again and his mouth finds mine. The moment our lips connect sparks of desire burn through me. I’m so damn hot for him and I can’t control myself. I push my body hard against his and open my mouth to him.
He tastes like whiskey and I make a note to buy some just so I can remember this moment forever. I’ve never loved whiskey before, but it may just be my new favourite drink.
This kiss will forever live in my mind. Luke doesn’t simply kiss—he possesses. He takes me mind, body and soul.
In this kiss I find hope.
Hope that he will fight for me.
For the us we both want.
