Synopsis:

The Sen Pal mountain lion pack mourns the loss of one of its scouts, but Celia, a young shifter, doesn’t buy it was an accidental death. Against her father’s wishes, she sets out to discover the truth about what happened to her brother—and to make the bear shifters of Deep Creek pay if they were responsible.
Brighton, an English biology professor, is hiking and camping on summer sabbatical in the forests of America. He’s heard stories of animal shifters and hopes to document their existence, but when he comes across Celia in the dark forest, he’s no match for her lion, much less her spirit.
Celia has to make peace with her brother’s unfortunate death while Brighton must decide whether his feelings for her outweigh his desire to expose the shifter community. Tensions over a possible shifter war increase, as the bears are awake and ready to defend their territory. The quirky scientist and his lioness lover have one chance to escape, but it may cost them everything.
