REVIEW: The Broken Tethers That Bind Us (The Broken #2.5) by Ker Dukey @KerDukeyauthor

The Broken Tethers That Bind Us (The Broken #2.5)

by
When you’re raised as family, lines are drawn. So what do you do when they blur? When you break the heart of someone you’re built to love like a sibling; over and over, driving her into the arms of someone that doesn’t deserve her? Can you take the risk of threading the tethers that bind you as a family to be together? Sammy’s and River’s son Mikey is all grown up and so is Kyra’s, Jasper’s and Derek’s daughter. The Broken tethers that bind us.

Review by Emma Mistress of all Dark & Twisted

The Broken Tethers That Bind us is a short Novella to complement The Broken series by Ker Dukey.

This book is the story of Mikey...Sammy and River's son whose an adult now, remember Mikey, from the end of The Broken? That young boy is all grown up now and one hell of a hot mechanic with a penchant for the ladies.

What happens when Mikey has feelings for a girl he thinks he shouldn't be having feelings for because he thinks of her as family?
The girl in question is Arya, she is Jasper, Derek and Kyra's daughter. Even though they are not related by blood Mikey can't get it out of his head that they are family no matter what.
Mikey tries his best to stay away no matter how much Arya makes it clear she wants him.
But how much before Arya says enough is enough and moves on? There is only so much rejection a person can take and Arya is not one meek and mild lady, she a fiery redhead who knows her own mind.

Will she walk away once and for all and if she does what will Mikey do about it or are some tethers there to bind us even though we do our best to fight against them we're unable to ever fully get free?

This novella was a great way to catch up with the previous characters again and I really can't wait for more as this novella leaves the way clear for more from this great series.

About this author

Ker Dukey

I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters. I wanted to be an actress growing up so I could live many roles but I learned early on that my mind was too active, I would want to change the script haha! I would watch films and think of ways they could of improved the story if they took another direction.

My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light, some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling too 

When I’m not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I’m a mum and that comes first in my life but when I do get down time I love attending music concerts with my younger sister, who shares my soul, we are two peas in a pod.

Happy Release to Sarra Cannon! The Fear of Letting Go by Sarra Cannon @sarramaria

Happy Release to Sarra Cannon!

A Fairhope Novel

New Adult Contemporary Romance

Released November 7, 2014

Jenna and Preston's story:

She'll have to let go of the past in order to find a love that could last a lifetime.

All I wanted when I moved to Fairhope was to disappear. I wanted to become a ghost. A stranger to everyone who knew me before, including my parents. Especially my parents. I never expected to become someone. A friend. A faithful employee. A scholar. And least of all, a lover. Love is a word I never truly understood until I moved here and witnessed it with my own eyes. My own heart.

I always believed love was a fairy tale, and now that I'm starting to fall for Fairhope's most eligible billionaire, Preston Wright, it all feels like some cruel joke. A dream I need to shake myself out of before it's too late.
Before I make the same mistakes my mother made and end up right back where I started.

I know I should stay as far away from him as possible, but fate keeps pulling us back together. I've never been so afraid of something in my life. And I've never wanted someone more.

While each book in the Fairhope series can be read as a stand-alone, some characters interactions and events will be more meaningful if you follow this series from the beginning.

Rough Riders- Book 1

Review by Wendy Obsessive Pimpette

Colby McKay is one sexy cowboy. I'm going to be honest I had forgotten what this book was about, while reading I was shocked it was m/f/m and m/m which was fine I just wasn't expecting it. But boy oh boy. Three sexy cowboys in one book I mean how can you go wrong right? Well not only that the love story is awesome. You have a cowboy who makes a proposition to a girl (Channing) who was left cause she found out her boyfriend was really married anyway. She is proposition that she can ride along as long as she becomes a buckle bunny to him and his other two friends at the same time or however, whenever they need her, Omg. Colby is all alpha male not afraid to say what's on his mind at all. " I love my women wet. Really wet. All over my fingers. All over my face. All over my-". I mean come on I felt that from just reading it. Colby is all cowboy through and through and what he thought he was okay with he soon finds out his not okay with sharing now. Bring on the swoon. Channing realizes that even though she enjoys threes company she truly wants only one Colby, but she knows it will never be more or does she. Colby has just had enough he has to let her know how he feels. " If I'm gonna hurt, It's gonna be from f*cking you until neither of us can walk. If I'm gonna pass out, It's gonna be from comin so gd hard that the top of my gd head blew off. If it takes all night darlin, I'm gonna prove that you've moved into the number one spot of bein' the single thing in my life that has the power to hurt me the most" Let's just say I loved this book I could quote it all day but it wouldn't do it justice. So glad that I was gave this book for an honest review.
