Sculpt is an illegal fighter.
He’s also the lead singer of a local rock band.
No one knows his real name.
And from the moment I met him, he made me forget mine.
In order to convince Sculpt to give me self-defense lessons, I had to follow
his one rule—no complaining or he’d walk. I didn't think it would be a problem.
I could handle a few bruises. What I hadn't anticipated was landing on my back
with Sculpt on top of me and my entire body burning up for him.
I tried to ignore it.
I failed of course. And having a hot, tattooed badass on top of me week after
week, acting completely immune to what he was doing to me—it was frustrating as
hell, so I broke his rule—I complained.
Then he kissed me.

This book was recommended to me by a member of my team and I really was not disappointed.
This is a short read but this you expect from a novella. We meet Emily and Logan, Logan is this hot sexy male that is an MMA fighter and also a rock star it cannot get any better.
This is a start and an insight for things to come and a read that is so highly addictive that it leaves you wanting more.
The writing is fantastic and I cannot wait to read Torn From You
I was unsure what to expect from this novella With You and I'm glad I got Torn from You too as they flow perfectly from one to the other with the tale of shy and quiet Emily and Logan: aka Sculpt whose in a band as well as an illegal fighter.
I was reading this addictive novella then oh my god, I so did not see that ending coming, the calm before the storm has never been such a perfect phrase to use to describe what With You is. What happens next???
You read Torn from You is what you do next!!
Torn
From You
*Warning:
This book contains some very disturbing situations, graphic violence, strong
language and sexual content. Over 18 years.
Love is like an avalanche. It hits hard, fast and without mercy.
At least it did for me when Sculpt, the lead singer of the rock band Tear
Asunder knocked me off my feet. Literally, because he’s also a fighter,
illegally of course, and he taught me how to fight. He also taught me how to
love and I fell hard for him. I mean the guy could do sweet, when he wasn't
doing bossy, and I like sweet.
Then it all shattered.
Kidnapped.
Starved.
Beaten.
I was alone and fighting to survive.
When I heard Sculpt's voice, I thought he was there to save me.
I was wrong.
*This is a love story with dark elements. Dark contemporary romance. No
cliffhanger and next in the Tear Asunder series is Ream's story (the band's
lead guitarist).
*Now included Don't let them Breathe and Leave No Marks: Two Logan POV scenes.
100,000 words
After reading the novella, I really couldn't wait to get started on this one, especially how the last ended.
This book carries on straight from With You, and is a very dark read that could cause some triggers for some, so be warned.
We are back with Logan and Emily and events unfold where both have to fight with everything that they have in order to achieve what makes them the happiest inn life and also what they love.
A story of how you can overcome the most horrific events, and come out the other end, stronger and living life to the full.
Some hot steamy scenes and events that go one way and then when you think you might know the outcome, you are completely thrown.
Nashoda has a way with words that she has you hooked from page one, I loved every minute of the book and I cannot wait to start the next in the series.

From the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Nashoda Rose
Love is ugly and secrets will destroy you.
KAT
I don’t beg.
I don’t cry.
And I don’t give second chances.
Ream, the lead guitarist of the rock band Tear Asunder, deserves a gold medal
for best dick move ever when he ran the moment he discovered my secret after
two days of hot sex. Then he brings some chick to my coming home party from the
hospital—after being shot.
I hate him.
Until …
Ream’s six foot two frame unfolds out of the car after being gone on tour for
eight months. I stared. And in my defense, any girl would stare. It would
almost be rude not to because Ream was the type of guy who stood out. Not
because he was loud and obnoxious. No, it was because he was the complete
opposite. Subtle and dangerously quiet. If he spoke, you’d better hope he liked
you because otherwise you’d be falling at his feet begging for mercy. Except me
… I don’t beg—ever.
But when our eyes locked, it was Ream’s steady confidence that had my nerves
shooting off like jet sprinklers.
Then…
Ream told me he didn't need a second chance because he was still working on his
first.
REAM
Sex is ugly. It’s using someone for your own narcissistic pleasure. I did it,
but hated it—until her. She was unexpected. Then I had to wreck our beginning
with my screwed up past. I don’t deserve her, but I’m selfish and I’m taking
her anyway. This is who I am and it’s too late to change me.

Another awesome read from this author, she really hasn't let us down this time.
We are drawn into the world of another two people that were touch upon in book 1, and we find out about the relationship between the two. Kat had a secret as we were informed but not what the secret was in book 1. In this book we find out what the secret is and it is heartbreaking. It show what a true survivor Kat is, as she keeps it all to herself and carries on as if nothing is wrong.
Ream has his own demons that he has to deal with, but he has fallen hard for Kat and feels like it is his responsibility to make can live instead of existing.
You will be taken on a rollercoaster of emotions in this book, and at one point I was in tears. There are some seriously hot sexy scenes in this book.
This series is a most definite read.
Great book
This book had a lot to live up to after Torn From You and Nashoda Rose managed with spades!!
We all knew Kat, Emily's best friend from book 1 had a secret and that Ream, sexy and tattooed guitarist from Logan's band Tear Asunder, had hurt her in the past. They both refuse to tell anyone what happened whilst Emily and Logan were missing over two years ago and that's where the secrets begin. Secrets that cause flames of attraction and anger to rise between them constantly whenever their near each other.
Their journey is a twisted and dark emotional roller coaster, Ream's past is one that returns to haunt him and hurt others. Kat has to face her future and needs to accept that truth. The book questions can you truly live your life if your past is still there just hiding in the shadows and can you ever trust someone to accept the darkness that lives inside you?
As you may see this is not a light and romantically fluffy read. Some scenes can be hard and uncomfortable to read but their needed to show the true darkness that lurks in the shadows.

Shattered
by You
The
third book in the USA Today Best Selling Tear Asunder Series.
What
started out as a deal quickly became a friendship that conquered monsters.
I
killed, but I escaped hell.
Emotionless.
Disconnected. Cold. A mannequin. It’s what I’d become in order to survive the
years held in captivity. I was able to endure the abuse and devastating loss as
long as I remained detached.
But he
wouldn't let me.
Crisis,
the bass guitarist in my brother’s rock band, Tear Asunder. He’s cocky, rude, a
total man-whore. But the rock star has far more beneath the surface of his
inked skin, and he’s determined to make me laugh again.
He
made me a "deal", but really, it was blackmail.
His
terms were simple. Until his playful honesty became the building blocks to
something unexpected. Something strong enough to pull me from the eye of the
storm.
Because
even though I escaped years of abuse, it didn’t mean I was free.
*Mature
audiences only.
“Shattered
by You” is written as a standalone, however, it is recommended you read the
first two books in the series.
Contemporary
romance.
Here we have the third book in this series and it is Haven's and Crisis' story.
Haven as we learned in book two is Ream's twin sister that he thought he had lost forever. Haven is emotionally damaged after events in her childhood, events so dark and twisted I wouldn't know how anyone would of survived.
Crisis is the playboy in the band and he is the biggest flirt and manwhore, but I think underneath it all as you get to know him, this isn't all he truly is.
Crisis takes it upon himself to befriend Haven, as he feels like he can truly help her face all her demons.
This book is really a dark, emotional, heartbreaking read. There are times where I wished I could reach in to the book and just hug Haven because of what she had been through.
Crisis is a man who knows what he wants and he goes the right way of getting what he wants.
I loved this story, Nashoda is a fantastic author who never disappoints. I cannot wait to see what Kai and Raven's book entails.
~~~~~~~~~Arc received in exchange for an honest review ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is Crisis and Haven's story and the 3rd book in the Tear Assunder series. Crisis is the playboy guitarist of the band Tear Assunder and Haven is the long lost sister of Ream, also a member of Tear Assunder. You need to have read the other books in the series first.
Haven was thought to be long dead by her brother, and they both had a horrendous childhood but those horrors didn't stop for Haven when she became an adult. Her free will was stripped from her from a young age and she experienced some truly horrific ordeals. As a result she is very damaged and broken, but can a friendship with Crisis of all people help her find her 'normal'.
I absolutely love this series, the whole group of characters and I find Nashoda Rose's writing style makes for really enjoyable books. If you enjoyed the previous books in this series then this one is a no brainer, you need to find out about Haven's dark past and also see Crisis get knocked on his a$$, both literally and figuratively! If this series is new to you then I can't recommend it enough, this is one of a few series that I tell everyone to read! Just make sure you read the series in order.
* .* ARC given on behalf of obsessed by books for an honest review * *
We get to read about Haven's story, she's the twin to Ream and the kick ass guitarist for Tear Asunder. Haven hasn't had much good in her life it's been filled with darkness and anguish, but they say in darkness there is light but at what price, the price is Haven has built up walls she doesn't let anyone get close, but there is one that might bring those down Crisis his cocky, and dirty mouth and truthful but deep down there is a sweet side, cause he protects those he cares about especially family and Haven is family . But he sees her as a challange and Crisis doesn't back down from a challenge. But the feelings between these two grow stronger and when Haven's past comes back to haunt her will she let Crisis be there for her or will Crisis just leave. I loved this book. it can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading the whole series
"Perfect
Chaos"
“You’re
my rainbow. The brilliant colors of you make me whole. Without your colors, I’m
just a man living in the dark.”- Deck
Georgie
I lie to survive.
Have since I was sixteen and my world fell into chaos. But I found a way to
endure, or rather it found me. Now I’m a prisoner of my own doing, hiding
behind a false mask so no one sees the truth. Not even the man I want but can’t
have—Deck. But I messed up and the lies are spilling over, out of control.
Deck is unrelenting and will settle for nothing less than the truth. He demands
everything from me—EVERYTHING—even if it rips me apart.
DECK
I kill for a living.
Unyielding—It’s how I survive in my line of work. I bend people to my
will…except Georgie.
But that ends now.
I've played her game for far too long. Now I think it's time we play mine.
This new spin off series 'Unyielding' by Nashoda Rose follows Deck and his ultimate task force. We've met Deck before in the Tear Asunder series, the cold, aloof and steely eyed man who never ever gives in to his emotions. One person breaks that facade this time and I adored the results.
This first outing follows Deck and Georgie, both connected via Connor; Georgie's brother and Deck's former best friend and comrade who died right before Deck's eyes several years previously. Georgie has loved and adored Deck from afar for years, taking his indifference to mean he doesn't see her for more than an obligation he agreed to protect. In Perfect Chaos we get both their Pov's and its brilliant to see how cold waters truly run deep within Deck.
Without spoiling this book I can say that grief causes people to take extreme measures, but not all chosen measures are truly your own choice it appears. This is a very, very dark book. It takes you on the start of a very twisted and long journey into an organisation who are deeply ingrained in everyone's lives involved in this book.
Many new characters appear, all of who make their presence well known and I for one can't wait for more on in the future!!
Full-length
novel. Come meet the Scars.
Scars:
Immortal warriors with capabilities derived from the senses: Trackers,
Sounders, Healers, Tasters, Visionaries, and the rare Reflectors. They each
have what is known as an Ink, a tattoo that can be called to life.
Stygian, by Nashoda Rose, is prequel 1 in the 'Scars of the Wraiths' paranormal series and set before Take ( book 4 in the series) the standalone novel which was released earlier this year.
I fell in love with this different approach to the paranormal genre with the Scars; immortal warriors with enhanced sensory abilities intermingling with other races and creatures on Earth whilst trying to maintain the status quo with the Wraiths, politics and internal power struggles whilst fulfilling their oath of "to protect humanity from any darkness that walked in the shadows." All the while living unknown to the people they've sworn to protect.
Nashoda perfectly balances her introduction to this new series with a gripping plot from the first page with the human Danni facing a horrific ordeal at the hands of a devious, torturous male. She longs for her normal everyday life instead of the hell she's enduring... Minutes, hours, days all blur into one, she's teetering on giving into her abuser's demands but a fellow captive saves her by offering to take her place. This one act has serious consequences for the both of them that will change their lives as they've known them forever.
Two years in from her ordeal and Danni is a successful artist, but gone is the fierce, wild, carefree spirited woman she once was and in her place is a fearful and isolated female who has no recollection of her torture only flashbacks through triggers of smells, sounds and dreams of green eyed male with a Tiger tattoo that she paints obsessively and is desperate to know more on. Recently she's felt a presence around her that's made her feel safe, something she hasn't felt in two years, but what is this presence and what do they want?
Balen, who was held captive alongside Danni, is a loyal and protective Scar who fulfilled his duty to protect the human Danni, but by doing what he did he broke a sacred rule and now has to face the reality of his actions: "Two years I'd stayed away...I'd overpowered the toxic blood I'd consumed. Not that it mattered, according to our laws, I was to be killed." Before he returns he has to see Danni one last time and when he does their reacquaintance is life changing as their connection is all consuming and one that could cost them their lives. When faced with the truth of their connection and what needs to be done both their lives will change irrevocably and test how much their willing to fight for what they truly want.
This book's theme truly asks what lengths are you willing to go to do the right thing. Are you willing to sacrifice your life, happiness, beliefs and the future you want for something you truly believe in?? This is what Danni, Balen and other characters in the book have to make difficult decisions upon each with far reaching effects that ripple out beyond their own lives. As this isn't just a love story it's a full on action adventure as well, as the life of a Scar warrior is far from quiet and Balen's friends are characters you'll want to know more on, especially Kilter, he's one badass you can't help but like and Delara; that's one storyline I hope Nashoda gives us next as she's piqued my curiosity!!
As always Nashoda provides a wealth of depth and twists you don't see coming in her story lines and the internal battles Balen and Danni have against all that's going on around them; the reality of their situation and the bigger picture of what their involved in warring against their love for each other brought me to tears more than once with her ability to make me feel such a range of emotions with her beautifully powerful prose. Nashoda has always been one of my favourite authors for a long time and this book firmly places her as an amazing paranormal writer too!!
everything about me is ruined and sour and I don’t deserve you.” His
fingers tightened on my hips and he lifted his head and met my eyes. “But
MAX
Feelings
are a luxury I can’t afford. Hidden behind a shield of quiet placidity, I keep
my secret safe from those who’d use it against me. Until him—the tatted up,
self-centered Scar assassin hired to protect me.
He
takes pleasure in tormenting me, chipping away at my defenses as if I’m a toy
to be played with. I hate that he continuously reminds me that I’m nothing more
than a job. I hate that my body responds to his touch. I hate him.
JASPER
I’m
not a good guy and I don’t pretend to be. Condemn me if you want, I don’t give
a fuck. You’re nothing to me. No one is … except her—Max. She’s my target. And
I was hired to do a hell of a lot more than protect her … I was hired to kill
her.
It
should’ve been simple, but it was complicated as hell.
Scars:
This is the first book that I have read by this author, I was told by a member of my team that I should read. I was not disappointed, this is a pnr read from this author and it has a different take on the pnr.
This was a read that you really could not put down until you finished. We have Jasper who is a scar, he is dead inside and really could not care about what happens to him. His heart is dead and he takes on assignments as an assassin.
Max is a scar also, but she is hiding who she really is, after the events she went through as a child, she is also broken, but she has learned to shield herself from all emotions.
Jasper has an assignment and he meets Max, he knows that she has built a wall around her emotions and he feels the need to break down those walls.
This is a fantastic read and I loved every minute of it. There are some seriously hot sizzling scenes that make you very hot under the collar.
I will be looking in to reading more of this authors books.
Take by Nashoda Rose is a standalone paranormal romance read that's dark, gritty and truly takes your breath away. I'd expect no less from Nashoda as all her previous novels take you by the hand and lead you along the mysterious, twisted and sometimes sinister road less travelled, but one you can't resist continuing along.
The 'Scars of the Wraiths' is a new addition to the paranormal world to me and the glossary at the start fills you in as a reader with all the details you need to know. The Scars are an immortal race who blend seamlessly into our world as their special abilities are on the whole internal: each Scar's ability is sensory derived; they are Trackers, Healers, Sounders and such like with an additional element for added protection. Along with Scars there are other races such as Vampires and witches plus other unique creatures to add depth, history and character to this new series which I was completely enthralled with from page one!!
This tale follows Max, a 20 year old dark haired lonely Scar, with a painful past who lives with a secret she's hidden for a long time. Repressing her powers and identity for so long to keep safe from being a slave to them again has been her only focus. She is a feisty resilient woman whose true nature is passionate, strong and violent, but she keeps that side locked down behind a veneer of shy, quiet vulnerability.That changes when Jasper Kyelin is assigned to protect her. He fires something inside of her, calls to her emotions which she's hidden away for years for self protection. "He'd broken through my shield and had my emotions sparking off like fireworks. He was dangerous to me and what I was hiding." Jasper could be her every dream come true or her ultimate demise as he is a man who only has one interest at heart: his own gain. He has plans for Max and these plans once again could lead her into darkness.
Jasper Kyelin is a badass, dirty talking Assassin of a man, whose only purpose in life is to fulfil his assignments, get paid then laid. He's cold hearted, ruthless and intense. "Nothing affects me. I don't care whether you hate me or can't wait to get your mouth round my cock. 'Cause when it's all over- I. Don't. Give. A. Fuck. What I do care about is getting paid."
His heart was torn from him a long time ago through a devastating event that has scarred him forever. He lost more than his sister that day and he's never been the same since. Shut off from everyone and everything is his way of life. His objective with Max is complex, she has something he needs and he plans to achieve it. His brief is dual layered and gets harder to honour as time passes..... What happens when the lines between protector and victim cross and they both start to 'feel' something that's been void from their lives for so long?
When the truth comes out and betrayals are exposed who will be willing to 'Take' the ultimate sacrifice to do the right thing? When the ever looming threat to Max gets too close for comfort will Jasper succumb to being the assassin he was paid to be or will he lose focus and put both their lives at risk?
This is a gripping, full on action read with plenty of passion, chemistry and witty one liners. A definite must read for everyone and I hotel that Nashoda writes more of this series as I'm dying for more on Holden, Xamien and Guise!!
