My Review

This book for me was the most heartbreaking, thoughtful book I have read.

There was times were I just was crying hysterically, I don't think I've ever had a book that's made me feel this way.

I loved the chemistry between Andy, Em & Seth. Andy was also one of those selfless people that even though he knew what was going to happen he never felt sorry for himself, but he concentrated on making sure that the two most inportant people in his life will help and love each other.

There were times that this book did have me laughing.

This book if definitely a must read, but you must be warned you better have the tissues handy because you are going to need them

I can’t take my lips off her. I need her so much right now. I’m starving for her lips. I can’t catch my breath, but I can’t stop either. I need her to feel how much I love her, need her to know how much I need her and that everything I said was a fucking lie. It was all the fear of not being able to live up to her expectations, the horror of disappointing her. I pushed her away instead of talking to her. If only I’d told her before why I was doing this, to help her mom out, then maybe this would’ve never happened.

But fuck, I am happy she’s here and that she’s all right. She’s here in my arms and I’m not letting her go. Never again.

I’m such a fucking mess, and still she loves me. I have no fucking clue why, but that’s why I love her. She loves me completely, unconditionally, so much that she can’t stand the thought of me even having the slightest scratch on me. I know I’m a bastard for earning money with fighting, but it’s the only thing I can do, and I’ll make sure I’ll be damn good at it. If she can’t see me get hurt, then I won’t let myself get hurt. I’ll make sure it never happens. I’ll train and fight until I can knockout everyone in my path with her watching me, smiling, proud.

Smelling her, I take in her scent in with eagerness, wanting her so close, holding her isn’t even enough anymore. She shakes her head, pulling me in for another kiss, but I barely escape.

Groaning, I say, “You don’t know what you’re in for.”

“Yes, I do. We’ve had sex before.”

“Not on a fucking car, on a road, in the rain.”

This is a great romantic suspense read with great characters.

I really did enjoy this read as it had the right amount of suspense and the right amount of romance.

The door creaks open and I’m pulled from thoughts of Faith. My Faith, she is going to be my only good thoughts through all of whatever this bullshit is. I shake my head a little bit and look up.

“So, what the fuck? Are you guys going to do with me? Huh?” The gray haired man from before enters, looks down at me, and sucks air through his teeth.

“You pile of shit. You’re going to work for me a little bit longer. ” He gets a grin on his face and runs his palm over his chin. “You are going to make a very good fighter. Yes, I think you will be my new feature fighter.”

He steps out the door for a second and I can hear him talking to someone in Russian.

“Here’s the deal, Ghost. You don’t mind if I call you that, do you?” Yeah, you fuck, I do mind, I think.

“You’re going to fight five times for me. You will fight and you will win.”

“What the hell do you mean?” I turn my attention to the guys standing behind him. I might be able to knock out one of them, maybe even two, but the third would be a challenge.

“Your father told me once that you’re a hell of a fighter. You’re bigger now so I imagine you could be even better.” He walks over, less than a foot away from me, and squats down. “Now, I didn’t kill your father all those years ago for nothing. I knew that you were destined for great things, great things that can help me.” What does he mean ‘kill my father all those years ago’?

The smell of vodka and cigars hits my nose. All I want to do is smash this guy to the floor and get the hell out of here.

“Dude, I don’t know what you’re thinking. I’m a fucking biker stuck driving a big rig to transport your shit.” Spitting out my words I don’t even give him a chance to respond.

I kick his feet out from under him; he hits the floor with a thud. The two guys standing behind him are surprised when their boss hits the floor hard.

“Get him! Get him, you dumb shits!” They move toward me. The goon to my left hits me in the back of my head and, before everything goes black, I hear the gray-haired man say, “I knew you were going to be a fighter, Ghost. I can’t wait to get my payback.”

This is definitely a read for people that love the modelling industry.

Sadly I'm not one of those people and so I didn't like it when there was a lot of descriptions of clothing.

The book is well written and follows a 19 year old girl in an erotic adventure.

This the first book that I have read of this authors and I found it to be very engaging.

The story is about two people that have grown up together and that have been through a harrowing time.

This was well written and a heartbreaking read at times and it is worth the read
