Tasty: Both of you spend a good amount of time fighting your feelings for one another, Lucky when was the "Aha" moment where you just knew that she was the one?  What about you Willa?

Lucky: I knew Willa was the one the fist time I tasted her …frosting.

Willa elbowed her husband sharply in the ribs.

Willa: I knew Lucky was the one when I saw him standing behind the pulpit at church. It should be a sin for a preacher to look that good.

The three things that surprised me the most about her is that she can quote practically the whole Bible, her temper, and that my dick is her personal trainer.

This blog is dedicated to every wannabe smooth-talker.

My name is Jodi Linton. I’m the author of the Deputy Laney Briggs Series and my upcoming The Original Sinners Motorcycle Club Series with Entangled Publishing. I’ve lived in Texas my entire life. And no, I’m not married to a ‘real’ cowboy. But I do share my suburbia home with a teacher who has a hobby moonlighting as a drummer.

Today I want to talk about horrible pick-up lines. You know, the ones that make you cringe with their seediness.  I’ve weathered my fair share of creepy one-liners, and while I’m like, “Get the hell away from me!” at the time, they can be quite hilarious in retrospect.

So when it came to needing a line for this blog post, I asked a fellow author friend about the worst pick-up line ever used on her, and hers beat any of mine hands down.  Her lovely boyfriend shot off this heart-stopper when they first met: “Hey, baby. You got five minutes to regret?”  I’ve gotta say it is pretty good, and yeah, maybe back in the day when my husband was trying every play in the book to snag a date with me this one would’ve made me laugh. And it probably would have made me say, “Buy me a drink, and then we’ll see about the next five minutes.”

PICK UP LINES POST

As I’m sure a lot of you know, the most recent trend in online dating is an app called Tinder. A few months ago, a friend convinced me to give it a try. I did – because why not? It’s free, and since technology is such a big part of our lives in this day and age, online dating has lost a lot of the stigma that it had a few years ago.

For those of you who haven’t heard anything about Tinder, here’s a brief summary about how it works:

-          You make a brief profile with 1-5 pictures and a few lines about yourself.
-          It’s connected to Facebook, which creates trust that the people you’re talking to are real.
-          If you think a person is hot, you swipe right on their picture. If they’re not your type, you swipe left.
-          A chat box will be available only if both people have swiped right to each other. (This way, you’re not bombarded with messages from people who aren’t your type.)

Once the chat box is available, both people are mutually attracted to each other! Yay! Now … it’s time for the inevitable pick up line. I have gotten a lot of terrible ones. So I hope you enjoy this collection of terrible pick up lines (and my responses) that I received on Tinder!



For the record, I’m not on Tinder right now. Occasionally (once every few weeks), I’ll go on the app hoping for a miracle, but I give up after a few hours, when I receive an onslaught of cheesy pickup lines and am reminded about why I stopped using the app in the first place.

Michelle Madow wrote her first novel, Remembrance, in her junior year of college. Remembrance is the first book in The Transcend Time Saga, a three part series about reincarnation and true love that Michelle successfully self-published. This fourth story in the Last Hangman follows on from where we left off...full of angst, heart break and jaw dropping moments this continues what is shaping up to be one of the best MC series yet! With Muriel Garcia's trademark emotional rollercoaster this book is much more than your typical MC read and steers clear of the cliches rather focussing on the lengths one man will go to, and the extra mile his woman will happily endure to get their peace.

Nicole is Gabe's little sister, brought up in the MC there are no flies on this girl. Underneath her soft exterior is one ballsy lady. Her determination to break through is inspiring and a real plus point to this story. A tower of strength in Jason's darkest hour can she be the light to save him, even from himself?

Jason has had a harrowing life, forced to endure horrors no one should have to including losing his parents at an early age and the death of his wife just to name a couple, he has become someone submerged in shadows. The reality he shows is not necessarily who he is...but is he strong enough to reveal himself and keep the family he has found in the MC?

Full of twists and turns, this book encompasses MC life and deals with secrets, lies and duplicity that will blow your mind! The emerging love story between Nicole and Jason is more than just physical attraction...although don't get me wrong they are practically hot enough to melt your kindle! Their connection runs deeper than sex, much deeper and their story is one of endurance, determination and faith. Overcoming whatever life throws at them I think they have become my favourite couple in the series so far!

A staggering 5 star read...I honestly did not see that coming!

This book is full of lies, deceit and secrets. Jason is trying to move on from the murder of his wife, he's helping the MC plus other people that no one knows about, but nicole has been there for Jason from the start is it just friends or could it be more? they both have secrets from the past , when they surface will it keep them apart, will the MC understand? I was left on the edge of my sit, loved the action, suspense. a really great read.

Muriel Garcia was born and raised in Belgium. She started writing a little over a year ago and never thought she would ever publish; reading and writing weren’t her favorite things to do in high school.

After one of her friends gave her a challenge – the next time they would attend a book signing, she would be a signing author (it did happen!) – she started to take writing a lot more seriously and never looked back. She’s enjoyed every second of it and the friends she’s made along the way.
