Anyway, slipping into that particular bar to hide was probably the best thing I could have done all night. "Just tell me where to go." "The other way! Other way!" Melissa squeals as I spin her in circles. "Yes, this way. Seven blocks. High-ho, Silver!" She thinks she's hilarious and laughs at her own joke. It makes me laugh, too. Then I realize her ass is probably on display to the whole cab line. As much as I deserve high fives from everyone who sees who I’m leaving with, I’m selfish. That ass is mine for the night, so no one gets to look but me. I set her down. I haven’t been back to a girl's place in… well in for-fucking-ever, and the idea excites me. No one can come back to my place, not right now, and I usually avoid going home with strangers, no matter how hot. You just never know, man. Maybe it's the beer, maybe it's the quick getaway that led me to the bar, maybe it's how she kisses like she’s already in bed, but this is so happening. God, I miss one-night stands. There are a lot of alleys in Westport. I get a lot of laughs. She isn’t making like she wants a boyfriend either, which means tonight is perfect. After the cliffhanger ending in book one, I couldn't wait to read this book.

We see the outcome of Xavier's & Anna's love in this book. Anna I felt grew stronger in this book, learning so much more after leaving her controlling family behind and finally having the life she deserves. She knows exactly what is worth fighting for.

Xavier is still a strong alpha male being held down by darkness, unbelieving that he deserves good and love in his life.

This was a fantastic read, it truly shows that no matter how much darkness there is, there is always light.

Filled with angst, murder, secrets revealed, love, light what more can you ask for in a read.

omg Xavier Cold is absolutely amazing.

We start were we left off in bk one. Anna and X are trying out thier relationship with each other. They both have very strong feelings for each other and Anna is trying to understand all that makes up X and she's trying to help him with his temper, but that becomes hard when it seems everything is going against them. X has a past with demons and they resurface making it hard to be honest with Anna, they have enemies who are wanting to destroy them. Is thier love strong enough, can Anna trust him when she needs him the most and will X finally realize his worth. I loved it what a great story and of course you want more. definitely a must read.
