Seize me From Darkness is the fourth book in the "Pierced Hearts" book series by Callie Silverwood. I haven't read the previous books but I didn't feel I was missing any details upon completion of this book.
This story follows the journey of Pieter, an ex cop and a sadist who struggles with his morality and desire to dominate Jazmine, a once independent woman who must now come to grips with her decision to submit or not and the consequences of that decision. Their personal fate rests in the hands of Gregor - a known human trafficker and sadistic torturer along with a mysterious Client who delights in overseeing and delivering the humiliation and torture of others; a man with a God complex for certain.
Cari takes the reader on a deliciously dark and twisted journey. Aside from the dark erotic twists and turns that make you question your own sanity for enjoying scenes what can truly be verging on the 'shockingly dark' side, what drew me into this book was the connection to the characters. Their inner turmoil and personal dilemmas, reasons for their choices and acceptance of the consequences that delve deep into your own psyche. Great character and plot development will leaves you conflicted deciding what should be deemed 'good' or 'bad' as everything you once believed is turned irrevocably on its head along with the characters too. as their journey from beginning to end marks and forever changes them.
