Continuing from where book one left us with our jaws hanging open catching flies, you really need to read this series in order. Joe three days later is still reeling after the eye opening events of book one. A college student her life is full of secrets. No one knows she pays her way by working as a stripper, no one knows she has been sleeping with a customer after her shift ends and certainly no one knows that she has also been dating her art teacher. The burden of her compartmentalised life and the way it slowly unravels is the main focus of book two in this series. Joe has a choice to make. Knowing that Brody is not for her she carefully realigns the bonds of friendship having made them hazy when her complicated life softened her towards the easy choice. Making things right with her best is also on the agenda before she leaves to move across country to begin a new life with her boyfriend. And yet Joe can't escape feeling torn between her two lovers.
A journey of self discovery, choices and the consequences of their actions are explored in this gripping sizzlingly hot read. We see a different side to the main characters and realise that maybe her choices are not so dissimilar after all...one has embraced his darker side and is proud of his menacing edge using it to his advantage in work and play, whilst the other tries hard to keep those elements hidden so is much more devious his outer demeanor approachable and non threatening. The plot thickens and I do sense some underhand tactics at play to win Joe in the battle for her.
Do they want to love her or own her? Is it the lure of the fight to be the victor and is she putting her heart at risk? Can this be anymore than physical attraction or is this a pretty woman scenario for Joe and will she find her happily ever after? Oooh so many questions and yes this also ends on a cliffhanger. Just when things seem to be reaching an even keel a major spanner is thrown into the works and I swear I heard Joe's heart shatter. I cannot wait to read the next one, Joe deserves her knight in shining armour, I just can't decide who that may be...yet!

we start where book one ended, but now Joe has a decision to make and will it be the right one. we also see more Rebel, a side we haven't seen. of course the ending is wow and left me wanting more .
