Being the first book that I have read by the author, I was not disappointed. Loving dark reads, this one is book deserves to be in my top 10 list.
Kidnapping, torture, love, obsessions, what more can you ask for in a read.
Baylee is a seventeen year old high school student with nothing to worry about apart from graduating, and being with her boyfriend. This all changes one night when she is kidnapped by someone that she thought she could trust. Baylee is older than her years and I found her to be a strong young woman, who dealt with the circumstances that she was placed in with strength. Being trained by a man a lot older than her, she finds herself thrown into the unknown world of the sex trade.
War is a man that has his own issues, and is a prisoner in his own home due to mental health issues. Deciding that he needs a companion he searches the web for the best place to find one. Stumbling upon an auction I don't think he actually realises what type of auction it is.
Baylee and War are each others saviours in this read, both rescuing each other from the horrors that they both face.
This was a fantastic read, dark, horrifying, twisted and enjoyable.
I am so needing the next book as I need to know the outcome.
