TAINT BY S.L. JENNINGS COVER REVEAL

Title: TaintAuthor: S.L. JenningsExpected publication: May 20th 2014

Blurb:

Right now, you’re probably asking yourself two things:
Who am I?
And, what the hell are you doing here?

Let’s start with the most obvious question, shall we?

You’re here, ladies, because you can’t f*ck.

Oh, stop it. Don’t cringe. No one under the age of 80 clutches their pearls.
You might as well get used to it, because for the next six weeks, you’re going to hear that word a lot. And you’re going to say it a lot.
Go ahead, try it out on your tongue.
F*ck. F***ck.

Ok, good. Now where were we?

If you enrolled yourself in this program then you are wholly aware that you’re a lousy lay. Good for you. Admitting it is half the battle.

For those of you that have been sent here by your husband or significant other, dry your tears and get over it. You’ve been given a gift, ladies. The gift of mind-blowing, wall-climbing, multiple-orgasm-inducing sex. You have the opportunity to f*ck like a porn star. And I guarantee, you will when I’m done with you.

And who am I?

Well, for the next six weeks, I will be your lover, your teacher, your best friend, and your worst enemy. Your every-f*cking-thing. I’m the one who is going to save your relationship and your sex life.

I am Justice Drake.
And I turn housewives into whores.

Now…who’s first?

Excerpt

From TAINT, by S.L. Jennings:

“Unless he’s completely desperate or under the influence, a man can’t - and won’t - fuck what doesn’t get him hard.”
Less gasps this time, but every perfectly powdered face is beet red with embarrassment, causing my mouth to slide into a sardonic smirk.
Truth be told, I love this shit. I love ruffling their meticulously groomed feathers. Their obvious discomfort entertains me. Seeing the rosy hue of coyness bleed through their blush is like a balm to my little, sadistic soul.
“And in that case,” I continue, “you don’t want him anyway. What you do want is for him to be salivating at the soles of your Jimmy Choos. And let’s face it, ladies… that’s not happening. Why do you think that is?”
Crickets. Fucking crickets.
“Anyone? Come on, ladies. I can’t help you unless you want to be helped. So unless you all have picture-perfect marriages and husbands that blow your backs out on a regular, I should see some hands.”
This time I’m rewarded with the almost simultaneous intake of eleven breaths. They’re all still here. All willing to bare their souls and dirty laundry in an attempt to rekindle the doused flame between their thighs.
You see, women are liars.
Yeah, I said it. L-I-A-R-S.
They want intimacy just as badly as men do. But to them, intimacy is more than just the physical act of sex. They want to be cherished yet want a man that will get down and dirty. They want tenderness, but crave to be banged like a $2 hooker. They want a man that’ll go all night, but still have the energy to kiss and cuddle and talk about their feelings afterward.
Listen up, ladies. We’re fucking tired! You try going jackrabbit-style, throw in some Cirque du Soleil moves and see if you can keep your eyelids peeled. Us passing out after sex is a compliment- a testament to how good it was. And quite frankly, if your dude can hop out of the sack and go to work or run a marathon, then he still has energy left for sex. He’s just done having sex with you.

Author Bio:
About me? Huh well what can I say. I'm a twenty-eight-year-old high stay at home mother of two beautiful girls.
My children are amazing. There isn’t a day that goes by that they don’t challenge my husband and I or make us laugh and feel loved. Growing up the way I did, I never wanted kids, but they’re here and I wouldn’t trade them for anything in the world for. God has truly blessed my family and me.

My husband Bill is the levelheaded one; he’s always so calm and logical, whereas I'm the loud-mouthed spaz that doesn’t know when to shut up. He was my saving grace in a time when I really needed one. I honestly believe he is my gift from God. He’s everything I've ever wanted: smart, kind, loving, PATIENT, (lord knows he needs it living with me) and so very supportive!
I'm a firm believer in going through life’s tragedies and blessings so that you can become the person you were meant to be. Writing has always been a hidden passion of mine and I am so thankful that I finally have the opportunity to share my stories with you.

WOW WOW WOW WOW

Loved it absolutely loved it.

Ryder a hot sexy tattooed biker what more can I say.

It was a hot, sexy, breathtaking read. Jani has outdone herself here and I cannot wait for the next book.

Please can we not wait long for the next book

Jani has been married for a long time to a special man, and her two children and their partners are the sunshine in her life. She is a voracious reader and would spend her last dollar on a book - always fascinated that for the mere price of a book, she can escape her world for a while and see through someone else's eyes.

Besides reading, her favorite 'thing' is traveling - she has traveled the world, learning about the ways people live and has come to the realization that no matter where we live, we all ultimately want the same things. Her hobby - Scrapbooking - keeps her up till way after midnight and her usual subjects are her family and her travels.

Ever since she can remember, Jani wanted to write stories about people, about their lives and loves. Relationships and Happiness - arguably the most difficult things to master in life and yet exactly what everyone ultimately desires (in her humble opinion).

Book Description

After a myriad of mistakes and a devastating breakup, Lily Hamilton is no longer the impulsive, selfish person she had once been. Now, she longs for the chance to make it up to the one person she knows holds the key to her happiness. But can he get beyond who she was and love her for who she is now? Or is history destined to repeat itself?
Adam Carter has gone through his own metamorphosis. His days of serial monogamy are long gone, and he's been burying his hurt by dating women he has no intention of committing to. But when he sees Lily for the first time in months, he's reminded of the man he used to be; the man he wants to try and be again--for her.
Max Samson is on the downward spiral from hell. Drinking and meaningless sex have taken over his life once again, causing him to revert back to the man he'd been before Lily fell into his life. But when his mother invites Lily back into his world, he suddenly remembers how good it felt to have her there. Even if he might not get to keep her.
Find out how Lily gets her happily ever after in this final installment of her story.  This book is recommended for mature audiences due to language and unbelievably awesome sexual content.

ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Elizabeth Hayley is actually "Elizabeth" and "Hayley," two friends who love reading romance novels to obsessive levels. This mutual love prompted them to put their English degrees to good use by penning their own. The product is Pieces of Perfect, their debut novel. They learned a ton about one another through the process, like how they clearly share a brain and have a persistent need to text each other constantly (much to their husbands' chagrin).

"Elizabeth" lives with her husband, one and a half year old daughter, and nutjob of a dog. “Hayley” lives with her husband and their own crazy dog. They are hoping to adopt a newborn soon.
Elizabeth Hayley's writing motto is best captured by the words of Patrick Dennis: "I always start with a clean piece of paper and a dirty mind."

EXCERPTS

Chapter 17: Max

And for some reason that thought calmed me, comforted me even. That ten months ago at nearly this very minute, I could have been doing this exact same thing: eating lunch across from Lily as we talked to each other about how our day had been so far. Or at least we would be doing this exact thing if she ever friggin' got here?
I had just looked down at my watch for the twentieth time when I heard the jingle of the bell on the door. And as I watched Lily stroll confidently toward me, I felt a stupid grin creep across my face. Her black pants fit tightly to her legs, and my gaze traced the length of them before it made its way up to those eyes that I always loved so much. Eyes that I loved even more on days like today, when the sunlight brought out the specks of gold in them that I was sure she’d never even noticed herself.
“Hey, Max,” she said as she pulled the silky strands of chestnut hair around the back of her neck to rest on the front of her shoulder. The sweet smell of her coconut shampoo washed over me, waking me from my trance. “I’m happy you asked me to meet.”
“You are?” Not only was I excited to tell Lily about the job opportunity, I was even more excited at the idea that she seemed eager to see me.
“Yeah, I haven’t seen you in a few weeks, and a lot’s happened.”
She paused for a minute or so to peruse the menu, and I motioned for the waitress to come take our order once Lily seemed ready. I knew she had to be back in about forty-five minutes and didn’t want her to be late. “So what’s up?” I asked. I could tell she was in an unusually upbeat mood, and I was eager to find out why she was so happy.
I didn’t know what I expected her to say. Maybe she’d won the lottery. Or she’d gotten a new puppy. Was it possible that she’d just found out Christmas break was starting a week early? Whatever it was, I hadn’t seen Lily that excited in as long as I could remember. I only wished that when she started to speak, I could have maintained my excitement for her. Or at least faked it better than I had.
But the moment I heard Adam’s name leave her lips, I felt my face drop. Trying to think of anything else than what she was saying, I did my best to tune her out. Unfortunately, my best wasn’t good enough. As hard as I tried, I couldn’t help but hear at least some of the words.

Chapter 18: Lily

Just then, the buzzer rang. I walked over to the intercom and held down the button. “Hello?”
“Hey, Lily. It’s me.”
I could hear the smile in his voice. It made me melt a little. “Me who?”
“Uh, hopefully the only guy you’re expecting tonight.”
Even though his voice was playful, I immediately regretted teasing him when I heard his response. I wondered if his mind had traveled where mine did: to the fact that there had been times when he hadn’t been the only guy who had made visits to my apartment. Dropping my head slightly, I tried to compose myself quickly before I replied. You’re not that girl anymore. You won’t fuck up this time. I lifted my head and interjected happiness into my voice. “I’ll be right down.”

Chapter 21: Adam

“Mine? I’m sorry, I didn’t know I needed your fucking permission to date someone.” I shook my head, keeping my eyes locked on his. Arrogant prick. “When was she yours to give away? Did I miss something?” I stepped closer, ready to make good on my promise of pummeling him in my yard. My eyes darted quickly toward a few of my neighbors’ houses as I wondered briefly if I could pull an Edward Norton, Jr. and curb this asshole without anyone noticing.
“Look, you have every reason to be upset. I—”
“I’m not ‘upset'. I . . . I don’t know what I am.” I could feel the anger building inside me as I ran my other hand through my hair, exasperated and unsure of what to do next. “You know . . . I don’t even know why I’m trying to explain my emotions to you. You deserve nothing.” My teeth clenched, and I suddenly found myself two inches from that douchebag’s face in an effort to keep my voice down. "You. . . you're . . . God, you're not even worth it," I growled as I waved my hand toward him dismissively.
“I’m not gonna argue with you about that. What happened was my fault. But I still want you to know why I did it.” Max’s initially guarded posture softened slightly, and it was clear he wouldn’t fight me even if I wanted him to, so for some reason—chalk it up to pure curiosity—I let him continue. “I loved her. We’re more alike than you think, Adam . . . me and you. I loved her. Just like you did. But she didn’t love me then and she doesn’t love me now. I know nothing I can say will make you change your opinion of me. But I was hoping,” he hesitated, “that it might make you change your opinion of her.”

Epilogue

The smell of homemade Italian food and Maddie's eager embrace greeted me the second I entered the door. “Daddy!” she screeched with her little arms stretched around my legs. “We made you dinner.” I knelt down to scoop her into my arms and squeeze her against my chest.
“What’d you make together?” I asked, overemphasizing my excitement. “It smells great.”
“Chicken . . .” She held her finger to her lips like she was deep in thought. “With cheese,” she added. “And sauce . . .”
I carried Maddie into the kitchen and Lily turned around to face me, leaning against the counter. “Chicken parm,” she mouthed with a coy grin. “Shh,” she warned, not wanting to spoil our three-year-old daughter's fun at remembering the dinner she helped cook.
As I watched Maddie try to remember the menu, I smiled widely. I’d recognize that face anywhere: the way the left corner of her mouth raised slightly more than her right when she smiled, how her green eyes shimmered with specks of bronze when the light hit them just right. Maddie’s dark hair hung to her shoulders and her brow was furrowed, deep in thought. “You know,” I said, tapping her on the nose playfully, “you look just like Mommy when you do that.” I held up my finger to my lips to imitate her expression, and she giggled at me.
My eyes raised to Lily, who pushed off the counter and walked slowly, gracefully across the kitchen toward me. “She does, does she?”
“Yup, dead ringer,” I said, pulling her into me so I could hold them both close. “I think we’re in trouble. Is it wrong to keep her locked in the house for the next thirty years?”
Lily’s expression told me I’d probably have a tough time doing that. “How was your day?” she asked.

He's Come UndoneHe's Come Undone by Theresa Weir
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This HEA story is a deep, dark, sexy, funny, and emotional read.

Penniless and behind on rent, college student and once famous child actress Ellie Barlow takes on the role of a lifetime when she's hired by a group of young women to break the heart of the campus player who cruelly dumped them.

Transformed from slob slacker to jaw-dropping beauty, Ellie is dressed, styled, bleached and waxed, her chunky glasses exchanged for violet contacts. Along with physical prepping, she's coached on Julian's obsessions, which include long-distance running, Doctor Who, and J.D. Salinger.

In no time, Julian is in pursuit of his custom-made next victim, but when Ellie goes off script and begins to fall for her target the newest broken heart in this risky game could be her own.

My Review

I found this book to be a likable read, but not an absolutely lovable read. I felt that as it is classed a New Adult read it doesn't have the grittiness of some of the new adult books that I have read.

Mafia capo, Antonio Spinelli blew through my orderly life like a cyclone.

Gorgeous and passionate, with a breathtaking brutality, he put me under his spell the moment he touched me, drawing me into his underworld of risk, violence and betrayal.

And I found, just as this sophisticated savage didn’t trust me, I didn’t trust myself. Something happened to me. Some alchemy from the heat between us.

I discovered I was a savage, too.

I'm loud, I'm proud, and I like to bust balls in my spare time. At least, that's what Low Parker would do. But, she is just a mask, one that I have perfected over years of running. I am Willow Knoxx. Master of deception, secrets, and lies. I am the girl your mother told you to stay away from, and the girl your father fantasized about. FINDING US TEASER #6
Excerpt
"Ahh, liquid heaven." I sighed, inhaling the rich aroma from my coffee cup. The scent alone loosened my tense muscles, taking the edge off the monstrous hangover I was still nursing.
"Two skinny lattes!" Jared hollered to absolutely no one, the glint in his eyes told me he knew I was dealing with a hangover from hell. His voice sounded like a high pitch shrill, ringing into my ears and playing my brain like a freaking drum kit. I really should lay off the Tequila.
"Jared, dude, lower the freaking volume would ya?!" I groaned, slowly rubbing my temples, trying to alleviate the throb that had now taken over my delicate head.
Jared's laughing eyes meet mine as he slid the lattes across the counter in a drink carrier. "Late night?" He chuckled.
Now, if my head didn't feel like it was about to roll off my shoulders and land into a poor unassuming strangers lap, I would’ve probably slapped that stupid smile off his face. Jared Spencer was the hottest piece of ass on campus; dirty blonde hair that was long in the front and short at the back, deep blue eyes that instantly pulled you in, and let’s not forget the rocking hot body underneath his apron. But, there was a downside... he's gay. I'm not talking a little gay, I mean thrust your hip out, pout like a model, gay. Such a shame.
"Just because you can swallow margaritas like water, doesn't mean the rest of us can you know." I said, raising my brow.
Placing his hand on his hip, he thrust it out to the side dramatically. "Girl, that's not the only thing I can swallow like wat-"
"La, la , la, la! I can't hear you!" I shouted, cutting him off as I picked up the coffees and made a run for the door.
"Don't hate the player, girlfriend!"
